Have been staying at the Powhatan for years, last stay there on June 2 we returned from along day sight seeing and returned to our room. While getting ready for bed my daughter found bedbugs in the room. We notified front desk and they sent maintenance over. During there inspection they discovered more Bed Bugs and immediately removed us from the room. I had my grand daughter, nephew and niece with me. Only to have them tell me that there report came back negative?? Why? WARNING THIS RESORT HAS BED BUGS, DAUGHTER WAS EVEN BITTEN, THERE IS A SECURITY REPORT WITH PICTURES SHOWING BED BUGS!!!!

had a fun time everything that you need is there big rooms close to everything

Property is very nice but rooms and facilities are dated. Some furniture was in need of replacement. Beds were OK. Still had old fashion TV in one bedroom. Remote did not work for TV in main room. Kitchen was fully equipped. Restaurant on site had good food, but no view or outside dining. Coffee shop was a plus. Only had space for one car to park near room.

I booked the resort for our annual ladies retreat because I knew it was very spacious. It was beautiful as usual. We didn't spend much time there, but my daughters and the other ladies told me that they saw several ants. I let the associate know when I checked out. That didn't look good on the resorts part at all as far as the ladies wanting to go back, but well see.

I thought this resort was amazing, loved the layout and it met all of my needs and expectations. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again.

Always amazing vacation, affordable, great place, secure, Fisrt time my unit look a little old, because always I have the new renovate units, feels like home, kids and adults activities are amazing, restaurant great staff and bartender, manager, TK team Diamond Maica and Maikol for the fun games and super bowl time. Definetly we came back as always very soon, we always stay here 4-6 times per year.

The house is clean and nice! My family had a wonderful time!

This was our 3rd stay at the Powhatan Resort. We had a 2 BR upstairs unit for 2 nights and it was a perfect home base for our visit with family in the Hampton Roads area. The unit itself was a little worn, but definitely well worth the rate which was on par with standard hotel rooms without the amenities of this resort (full kitchen, full living room, 3 TVs, electric fireplace, 2 full baths, etc.) Luckily we did not need the sleeper sofa in the living room though - it was definitely not in great shape. We were lucky to have relatively pleasant weather (in the mid 50s) so that we could use the mini-golf course and walk the grounds a bit during our stay. The indoor pool was nice, 2 hot tubs, and a good diversion for our 6 year old. Check out the cute coffee shop and the General Store which stocks a surprising number of food options and snacks as well as wine and beer. After an unpleasant interaction on our first stay (very aggressive, repeated, and intrusive questions about why we weren't planning to sit through a presentation, etc.), I learned to skip picking up the "welcome packet" after registration to avoid the REALLY hard sell to sit through a timeshare presentation. Go right from the reg desk to your car if you're smart! The only other solicitation we received on this visit was a phonecall right before check out to invite us to a presentation for a coupon, etc. and the caller responded politely to our decline.

I wanted a short weekend mini-vacation so I spent a couple nights here. Staff was excellent. My unit was clean and recently remodeled. My only complaint was that the matress was way too soft for my personal preference. But otherwise it was a good place to stay. I recommend it

Living room furniture ridiculous !! Ugly to say the least with only one uncomfortable sofa and the hot tub room useless with not even a decent sofa there either !! I own there and I was appalled and unfortunately extremely embarrassed as I have been there multiple times but no more!!

Our place was clean and spacious. Close shopping centers and very peaceful neighborhood.

Awesome everything from the staff to the room was perfect. Will definitely stay here again in the future

This is a Timeshare property 5 miles from Colonial Williamsburg. Rather than a hotel room it is a condo that sleeps 6 comfortably. Ideal for a long term stay. Be aware they will try hard to sell you to buy a Timeshare on check in unless you decline the sales pitch.

If you're looking for fancy this is not it. But if you want to comfortable place for family then I would recommend this. The grounds are nicely kept the pond by the pool it's a great place to take the kids to feed fish and turtle if you bring some bread. The rooms are not fancy there they are a bit dated but comfortable. Location is convenient

Being centrally located to many historic sites, made traveling easy. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We did a quick stay and this hotel had a great rate for the time we went. Great location and near most stuff in Williamsburg. It was a little big for just 2 of us, but nice just the same.

This was a last minute reservation, and it was a terrific choice.

The room was perfect for a family traveling in Williamsburg. Lots of room for all

Welcoming staff and the accomdations were spacious and comfortable.

Old could use up dates. The furniture is very worn.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your vacation! We loved to read about your experiences at The Historic Powhatan. We appreciate your point of view on the décor and we thank you for sharing. We are in the middle of a 7 year renovation of all 845 units. As you can imagine this is a major expense. We hope to have you return in the future.
