I rarely rate places but I feel the need to share how nice a place The Historic Powhatan is! It is very clean with large condo’s 1st and 2nd floor units. We had a 2nd floor that had 2 large bathrooms, a huge room with a cozy King bed large, a room with a queen bed then a pull out queen. Both rooms ...
Friendly staff greeted me as I arrived, the room was comfortable and clean, with coffee available. Breakfast had plenty of hot and cold choices in a clean and congenial atmosphere I enjoyed my stay here and will choose this hotel when I come to Williamsburg next time
I stayed here during a business trip the week of January 7, 2018. ALL hotel staff that I interacted with were EXTREMELY pleasant, polite, and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. The complementary breakfast service was great. I did not take advantage of any other amenities. My only complaint ...
Not a bad place at all. The breakfast was not great but considering the price of the room, I was not expecting great. The hotel could use some updating but is an economic place to stay. We basically slept at the hotel because we were out and about most of the day. If you want a cheap comfortable ...
We had a great stay for the most part. There were only two issues, and they were handled immediately - the pastries from breakfast weren't as fresh as they could have been, and the deadbolt was loose. Both issues were handled with no fuss. We would gladly stay at this property again.
The hotel was very nice, with a few drawbacks. We stayed in the villa suites -- 2 bedrooms with a living room/dining room, and kitchen. It came equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, washer dryer/etc. Drawbacks, were that the water smelled and tasted like chlorine, and the pool, which is situated ...

Ease of check in, pleasant staff, not disturbed by staff or neighbors. Appreciated being on the first floor. Atmosphere mace fro a great holiday trip. Would come back again.
We took our 2 small dogs with us and it worked out great. We didn't have to stress out if they barked at people in hall, they had many guests with dogs, so there was a bark here and there going on. The room was nice and clean, we had myself, my husband and daughter, and we were not on top of each other for space. There was enough drawer space, closet space, and counter top space for bathroom There was a fridge and microwave, so we could eat in room if we wanted. And many channels on tv. It was a very good stay.
Hotel close to parks and restaurants are about 10 minutes away as well as the outlets. Hotel staff were nice and helpful. I will stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.
We surprised our kids with a quick trip away to Williamsburg. Our villa was spacious and perfect for our family of 6. We just wish we stayed there longer. We will definitely stay there again.
