"The experience was all just ok. Not good but not bad. The room - 2 bedroom deluxe - was great. It was large and had everything we needed. The furniture wasn’t particularly comfortable but the space as a whole was. The balcony was unusable because it’s not kept up and the table and chairs were thickly covered in pollen. The staff was fine - not bad but not great…it was efficient. The cleanliness was hit or miss. The drawers were full of what looked like cigarette tobacco and some dishes needed to be rewashed. The value was good overall but I don’t think it sets itself apart from any other resort in the area. "

"Perfect location close to the water and ferry but tucked away in woods and quiet enough to hear a variety of bird calls and enjoy the gorgeous sunrises. Comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Perfect for our family of four."

"The location was great for us … we wanted a place to relax, but was positioned so that if we wanted activity, we could get there easily, and it met that criteria. Beautiful James River views! The house was clean, comfortable and welcoming, and thoughtfully appointed! We were quite pleased and so grateful to our hosts!"
