The Good: There was some updates in the general use areas. The Bad: The room looks good in the picture here, but the furniture is old and looks old. Other than the pictures on the wall and lamps, everything else was in desperate need of a makeover, still in the 80's and any the obvious repairs made stood out as if someone did them at home and had no training to make them. The floor in the room had not been vacuumed, the bathroom was probably cleaner than it looked but with the poor repairs made it look dirty.
Exactly what we needed.
Usually stay in a Super 8 if I'm arriving late and leaving early because it is generally clean and well-kept. This one was NOT. Discarded clothing and razor in the back hallway, the shower curtain rod had been torn out of the wall and replaced with spackle. Hole in the vinyl shower liner had been plugged with spackle. Place had the feel of a dump. Next door occupants were speaking in a normal voice and I could hear every word. Had to turn the bathroom fan on to drown out the noise. Never again.
I'm 81 years old and I was denied the use of a restroom while checking in. Unacceptable.
Courteous staff
The place was very clean.
The room was comfortable with a queen sized bed and a nice upholstered side chair. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room as well. The A/C worked well. The only negative is that the bathroom vinyl flooring was in pretty bad shape and looked quite grungy, as did the bathtub, but it got the job done. The breakfast consisted of packaged microwaveable breakfast burritos, fruit yogurt, packaged honey buns, and juice or coffee/tea.
There was no elevator so all luggage had to be hauled up two flights of stairs, something not easily done by older people, the disabled. Etc.
With previous reservation, I was assigned a room up 1.5 flights of stairs=NO Elevator. It was on top floor, farthest corner which would have been quiet. Managed to get luggage & belongs from car up there & walked into a bed in disarray, dirty bathroom, & phone that didn’t work to call front desk. Lugged stuff back to front desk & was not happy. At 72, never given such a room! Next room was up 1/2 flight, people noisey overhead, & bathroom not cleaned well. Having driven over 1000 miles to have this experience, I did not even bother to see where or what breakfast was. I am a Wyndham customer. Will stick with Marriot Bonvoy now.
Traveling through, needed a place to stay the night. Great and easy location, clean room/bathroom. Would stay again
Staff was very accommodating to get us a room without having to use the stairs. Room was small but had everything we needed. Bedding was nice as were the towels. Had a good breakfast for the times we're in. Everything was individually wrapped and was adequate. Much appreciated that they had something to eat as other motels just said no food during the pandemic.
The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. There was a lot of traffic noise from the main street and Interstate.
It was adequate. Nothing more. But the room was clean and comfortable.
