This hotel is all-inclusive. The food was top notch. There are plenty of things to do each day for the whole family. But let's be clear, it is the water that you come for and there are plenty of water options at this location.

We just got back from our 3 night stay. Overall the hotel, beach and pool were nice but rooms are in need of some major updating. The floors were sandy, the sink nor safe worked and had to be fixed, no towels upon arrival, major bee issue around the pool and beach area and on night 3 we found a poisonous centipede in the room and were informed if it had bitten us we would be in the hospital. The bar staff was great with the drinks but remember to bring your own Tervis or Yeti because cups are small and plastic and ice will melt quick, but the food was good with lots of choices. Overall the staff was ok but not overly friendly like some of the other islands. I would visit this hotel again as it was a good value. The hotel was also a close taxi ride to Lacaya Market and the local fish fry held on Wednesday nights just beware as it gets a little sketchy later in the night . Also make sure to walk down the beach to the Sand Bar which is a super neat indoor bar with sand floors.

We paid for a garden room and were given a Vista (oceanfront) room somehow so that takes my rating up quite a bit. The room was clean, in good repair and right on the beach, the view was fantastic. It was awesome. The beach is a really nice one and there are plenty of chairs. The pools was nice, it would be nice to have more than one pool (there is a kiddie pool that I am not counting). The food is decent, it is an island and pretty much everything has to be imported in. The Viva Café and Viva Pizzeria have excellent food, the buffet has some good food and some ok type food. I would stay away from Bamboo(the Asian restaurant)the spring rolls there were good, but the rest of the food was not very good at all. The cappuccinos from the bar were very good. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and efficient. We read reviews before we went and it definitely more than we expected. We never felt concerned for our safety at any point. We had a great stay. We would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time! The beach was great! We eat at all the restaurants and the food and service was top notch. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Can't wait to go back!!

My parents, brother and I and our children stayed at the hotel for our family reunion/vacation and loved it. It was better than what we expected for this type of hotel. Great staff, decent buffet and great al la carts menus at the three restaurants. Only problem was getting our towels changed daily. There were four of us in the room but we only ever got two towels and had to go through guest relations to get more.

First off, this is not a 5 star all inclusive... but if you want a well apportioned resort in Grand Bahama with superior and friendly staff this is for you. They have a nice pool, fabulous staff, tennis, archery, trapeze, diving, snorkel, kayak, sailing and much more. We loved our stay!

There is a lot to do. You can easily find something for everyone, so nobody is bored. The food is not great at all.

Took a vacation with my friends for my birthday. Stayed at the resort for 4 days and it was perfect! The staff were all amazing!! The food was ok. The beach is right there and the resort was very beautiful! All the amenities were great as well! Every all great experience!

The white sand beach is gorgeous, but the hotel falls short in some aspects. The all-inclusive food was alright (3 of 5). We had a problem with the room. We booked a room with an ocean view but were given a different one due to ours being under maintenance. Received one with a less pretty view, and in need of renovation. Fortunately, staff was great, made us feel like in home, and provided to us for our troubles with the best table, free red wine bottle, and excellent service during dinner. If visiting this hotel, ask for a renovated room :)

below average i stayed 7 days in that hotel , n i wasn't very satisfied with the quality , first of all i had to change the room for 3 times and every time something wrong with room , either ac problems or something else , i end up with a room with cold water in shower and i just deal with , i got tired of complaining so i just deal with , trust me cold shower for 4 days wasn't fun. food was just OK in buffet , its almost same options for breakfast , lunch, dinner. so if u find something that u ll like , u might be eating it the time of Ur stay dinning area has no ac i had hard time eating there sweating, if u planing on snorkeling bad news u cant snorkel there there is no refs , u have to go somewhere else , the beach area its very rocky n a lot f sea grass did not enjoy the beach that much i don t recommend it and it was last time for me there compare to other resorts i been to that one is poor 7 days was hard

I anticipated a 3 star resort, so expectations were met and even exceeded. I traveled with 17 others including family and friends and I believe everyone had a satisfying experience. The food at ala carte and buffet restaurants was better than expected. The quality of the alcohol needs to improve and dropped my overall rating. Staff was mainly friendly and served efficiently. The oceanfront rooms provide a spectacular view of the beach and ocean. Accomodations are older, but recent updates make them comfortable for resting. A nice balcony provides access to that spectacular view. If you do not expect a 4 plus star experience, you will be pleasantly surprised. Grand Bahama Island is safe and friendly.

We went from Jun 29 to July 6, 2015. There were 21 of us total. I have some good points and some bad points. Good -The price was cheap. $1310 each with airfare and hotel. -The place is beautiful. Nice sandy beaches with blue water. They do a great job maintaining the beaches. -The resort is clean -Most of the hotel staff is friendly and helpful -There is lots to do on the resort (snorkeling, swimming, sail boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, trapeze, sand volleyball, diving, jet skiing, nightly entertainment and a host of daily activities around the pool). The ac in the rooms was crazy cold. The food is neither good or bad. I didn't have anything is disliked but also didn't have anything that blew me away. The food- the buffet is your average buffet. -Breakfast is made to order omletes, pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, grits, hash browns, oatmeal, cottage cheese, fruit, cold cereal, donuts ect. -Lunch and dinner- made to order steaks, pork or burgers, rice, beans, plantains, potatoes, some variation of a pork recipe, fish (tilapia and snapper), pasta with red or white sauce, pizza, several types of soup, salad bar, fruit ect. The reservation restaurants- Bamboo and The Italian Cafe- we ate at both. -Bamboo- the seating is all indoors and its air conditioned. The service was worse than horrible. I honestly haven't had that bad of service in quite a long time. It was extremely slow and the staff (3 people waited on us) didn't seem to care. There were 9 of us. The food was on par with the buffet. -The Italian Cafe- The seating is indoor and outdoor. We sat outside. The service was the exact opposite of Bamboo. The service was excellent (1 person waited on us). Our waitress was on point and there were 11 of us. Orders taken fast, drinks filled promptly, food and wine brought out in a timely manner. The food was better than the buffet. I had a Calzone and it was pretty good. Others in my party had pizza and liked it. I would recommend this cafe over Bamboo. Bad -While most everyone is friendly and helpful some of the employees didn't seem to care and even act as if the guests are an inconvenience. -The rooms are ok (I stayed in an upgraded ocean view room). I didn't actually have a direct view of the ocean and we payed an extra $150 each for this added value. -The entertainment staff is great but can be a bit overwhelming. We sat around the pool quite a bit and it is almost non stop (music people on a microphone, contests ect). -The booze is CHEAP!!! If you are wanting or expecting anything other then cheap well liquor then you will be disappointed. There is slightly better stuff (Jack, Jim, Absolut, Dewars), but you won't get it unless you are a time share member or VIP. Everyone else gets the cheap, cheap stuff. Having said that, they are more than eager to fill your cup all the way to the top! -The honey bees and seagulls are non stop. The bees are attracted to ANYTHING sweet and the gulls wang your food. -The room safe cost us an extra $15 for our 7 night stay. -The wifi is spotty and works only some of the time. Taking all of this into account I would recommend this resort. If you try to compare it to an American resort like JW Marriott or something similar you will be disappointed. You have to keep it in perspective. You will be there to enjoy the sand, sun and surf and it has all of those in spades. There are other nicer resorts but they will cost you 4 times as much. I got a 7 night trip with airfare, hotel and all food and drink included for $1310. That is a GREAT DEAL!

go someplace closer to attraction spent a lot on taxis

Weekend get away with my gf. It was reasonably priced. Very clean. Nice rooms. Clean pool and beach. Fun activities, even had a disco room. Food and drinks were what to be expected from an all inclusive resort. Breakfast was the better of the 3. I was a great relaxing weekend.

This was by far one of the worst resorts/hotel we have ever stayed at. It was so bad, nt only did I get food poisoning, we checked out that same day and into a different hotel. What a waste of our money. We were not refunded a penny.

nice hotel but could use some help

great family vacation

great hotel!!

Took a vacation with my friends for my birthday. Stayed at the resort for 4 days and it was perfect! The staff were all amazing!! The food was ok. The beach is right there and the resort was very beautiful! All the amenities were great as well! Every all great experience!
