The event staff made our time there fun during a rainy week

Well, I should have anticipated issues after reading all of the reviews. Some pointers I would like to give to future guests: - Get the map of the property as soon as you get there and have them show you - ON THE MAP- where your room is located. - Be prepared to be persistent to get the room you actually requested during your reservation and not the one they try to give you. I, along with many other people, went through multiple rooms before being assigned one that was acceptable. But please be nice about it - I saw too many people who led with hostility and had a harder time of it. - Go to the beach that is in front Banana Bay Restaurant. It is WAY nicer than the one in front of the hotel. There is a sand bar and the sand/water is gorgeous! Have a burger and a Corona while you are there! It's a bit of a walk but WORTH IT! - Be forewarned that unless you are part of the timeshare/VIP, you will not get top shelf liquor. I asked for Bacardi Rum and got Ricardo Rum! There are no brand name beers so get a Corona at Banana Bay Restaurant! :) - The shows don't start until 9:30 PM. I didn't see any shows because that's too late for me. - I was unable to find an activities schedule... - People put towels on all of the cabanas and chairs that have shade to reserve them, then leave them vacant most of the day. It's terrible that the hotel doesn't manage this more closely. Have a policy that if they are vacant for more than 30 minutes, you will find your things at the towel check.

For the most part the hotel was fine. The all-inclusive element was diminished by below-average food. We opted for off-site meals on several occasions. If you like to retire early for the evening, forget it. The music from the bar area was so loud it rattled the the sliding glass doors. It continued until well past midnight. It was awful trying to sleep. We turned the air conditioning way down to use the fan as a noise suppressor. That helped a little but it made the room uncomfortably cold. On one occasion we returned to the room and found our door ajar. The cleaning staff must have been interrupted (the room wasn't made up) and left in such a hurry they didn't latch the door.

No hot water! Every day an “engineer” had to come play with water temp so we could have hot water to shower with

Pros: beautiful beach, lots of activities Cons: Harassed by Wyndam vacation club agents as soon as you arrive Food is not good Begging for towels everyday after room is cleaned. Housekeeping take your tip and provides no towels

The staff was very nice and the activities. My only problem was the food, i didnt love it but is ok.

Waking up to a beautiful sunrise as you lay in bed looking over the ocean can never be a bad thing!

As soon as you walk in the place they set you up for the scam. There was a lady fro Canada that checked on this scam and notified other people only to be called and threatened not to be messing with there living. we where held up in a room told to get a yellow bird drink! my wife was instantly drunk I asked to talk to some of the other club members. we where not allowed to do that. They found there own people to talk to. We where pleasured into signing. The next day I checked into things and we went back and told them we wanted out. It cost us $1000.00 for office fees to get out. BEWARE!!!

Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of activities to do with the family and the food was grate.

This was our 2nd trip to this resort. It's very comfortable. The improvements made since 3 years ago were impressive! The entertainment staff was fantastic! They shows are great! The sand is amazing and there is a small coral reef within swimming distance with some amazing fish and sea life! I would highly recommend this resort and we will be back!

This hotel is all-inclusive. The food was top notch. There are plenty of things to do each day for the whole family. But let's be clear, it is the water that you come for and there are plenty of water options at this location.

We just got back from our 3 night stay. Overall the hotel, beach and pool were nice but rooms are in need of some major updating. The floors were sandy, the sink nor safe worked and had to be fixed, no towels upon arrival, major bee issue around the pool and beach area and on night 3 we found a poisonous centipede in the room and were informed if it had bitten us we would be in the hospital. The bar staff was great with the drinks but remember to bring your own Tervis or Yeti because cups are small and plastic and ice will melt quick, but the food was good with lots of choices. Overall the staff was ok but not overly friendly like some of the other islands. I would visit this hotel again as it was a good value. The hotel was also a close taxi ride to Lacaya Market and the local fish fry held on Wednesday nights just beware as it gets a little sketchy later in the night . Also make sure to walk down the beach to the Sand Bar which is a super neat indoor bar with sand floors.

No good information.staff was not helpfull.buffet was open late.quality of the food good.

We paid for a garden room and were given a Vista (oceanfront) room somehow so that takes my rating up quite a bit. The room was clean, in good repair and right on the beach, the view was fantastic. It was awesome. The beach is a really nice one and there are plenty of chairs. The pools was nice, it would be nice to have more than one pool (there is a kiddie pool that I am not counting). The food is decent, it is an island and pretty much everything has to be imported in. The Viva Café and Viva Pizzeria have excellent food, the buffet has some good food and some ok type food. I would stay away from Bamboo(the Asian restaurant)the spring rolls there were good, but the rest of the food was not very good at all. The cappuccinos from the bar were very good. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and efficient. We read reviews before we went and it definitely more than we expected. We never felt concerned for our safety at any point. We had a great stay. We would stay here again.

Nice staying. Staff very welcoming. Rooms are ok, but beds are uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful time! The beach was great! We eat at all the restaurants and the food and service was top notch. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Can't wait to go back!!

My parents, brother and I and our children stayed at the hotel for our family reunion/vacation and loved it. It was better than what we expected for this type of hotel. Great staff, decent buffet and great al la carts menus at the three restaurants. Only problem was getting our towels changed daily. There were four of us in the room but we only ever got two towels and had to go through guest relations to get more.

First off, this is not a 5 star all inclusive... but if you want a well apportioned resort in Grand Bahama with superior and friendly staff this is for you. They have a nice pool, fabulous staff, tennis, archery, trapeze, diving, snorkel, kayak, sailing and much more. We loved our stay!

There is a lot to do. You can easily find something for everyone, so nobody is bored. The food is not great at all.

Took a vacation with my friends for my birthday. Stayed at the resort for 4 days and it was perfect! The staff were all amazing!! The food was ok. The beach is right there and the resort was very beautiful! All the amenities were great as well! Every all great experience!
