Staff was amazing and so was the food!

Beautiful beach, fun pool bar and good food. Hotel is beautiful but rooms lack luster. They need to be remodeled to say the least. They were clean.

The staff waw always helpful and friendly

I loved this property! Idk why all the bad reviews. I am very picky when it comes to hotels. This exceeded my expectations. View was absolutely gorgeous. Room was super clean and staff was super nice. So glad we brought a lot of cash for tips bc they deserve it. Enjoyed the buffet and speciality restaurants. My husband I booked this for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it! Vibe is relaxing and drinks were delicious!

Location was perfect

I stayed at here to celebrate my 30th birthday and booked an ocean view suite and it was definitely better than I expected. From the pictures the rooms look lackluster but when you actually get there it pretty nice. Still could use some updates though. We arrived on a Wednesday and there was no one there so check-in super easy for us. The staff was even nice enough to upgrade my bestfriend's room so that she could stay on the same floor as me! The buffet food was actually good and we ended up eating there daily. Restaurants do require a reservation and we missed the opportunity to reserve something before our time is up. Never actually made it to the pool but there are two. Beach has locals there selling products and activities daily. The resort did have an older crowd there and I liked that it wasn't too loud after a certain time. I would stay at this location again.

I like everything

Good place! Kinda cruise shippy but a good value !

Pool and beach area

Nice but too small, dont have much place for picture taking

Super place and service.

All perfect!

This property is too far away from the island happenings. It’s very dated. The additional restaurants were never available to book, the temperature in the rooms was too regulated, and it’s just a boring place to stay.

Overall, our trip was nice. The Covid precautions set forth by the property and local government made us all feel this was a safe place to travel for the New Year. However, RIU requires use of an app to make any dinner reservations, and the app was consistently malfunctioning which made it very difficult to make reservations, resulting in our group dining seperarately at the speciality restaurants or even resorting to the buffet for dinner. The front desk was helpful in making manual reservations at times. Bars were easy to get drinks at, minimal lines and the bartenders were kind. The pool was always hopping during the day, though the music selection was not always great. My biggest issue was with the air quality in the rooms. Even with the air conditioning at full blast, the humidity was consistently high, our sheets and beds always felt damp, the floors were slippery, there was an inescapable smell of mold or mustiness that caused allergies and sinus issues for myself and others. Our beds were mostly comfortable minus the very small pillows that felt like flattened cotton balls. In all, the trip was what I expected. I’d return to the Bahamas but I am not certain I’d return to this property.

Good value for the price :))) , very clean, they do all they can to prevent the spread of covid virus on the property.

Don’t go here! The room was severely dilapidated with 5 broken things in the bathroom alone. The beach was awful because you are immediately surrounded by locals trying to sell you things the second you go down there, you don’t feel safe. The pool is very very small and the music is WAY too loud! Like obnoxiously loud. There are a few wonderful people that work there but they don’t make up for the resorts short comings. It was by far my worst vacation. Go to Atlantis, it’s beautiful. May be more money but you get what you pay for. I have been to 4 Rius in 3 different countries and this place is the bottom of the barrel. Wouldn’t stay here again under any circumstances.

Too many vendors on the beach, very annoying, music was too loud, restaurants need a better system, had to wait in line over an hour to get inot steak house as two other ones were closed
