We had an amazing vacation because of the wonderful people and the beautiful resort. The grounds are well-kept with tropical flowers and the staff is so helpful. The beach is directly next to the pool, so you can go back and forth as much as you want. The restaurant serves delicious food and there is a bar in a cave in the pool. Speaking of the pool, it is the biggest and best ever! 800,000 gallons of lazy river, swim up bar, soaking caves, waterfalls, and even a water slide. My family loves Taino Beach Resort!

All of our needs were taken care of and they are in the middle of an update and its still pristine !!! And since we are now owners we will be returning with our friends and family. Always returning to a peaceful place is nice

The RCI information was right on point and thus, we were prepared for everything (fees, quality, etc.). Although this was not rated a Gold Crown resort, it could have been due to its ocean views and private gorgeous beach location! We stayed at The Ocean rooms 3301-3304 and one entire wall in unit 3302 was nothing but window views of the ocean and beach. We gathered here to enjoy the view while eating breakfast every day! I recommend the resort’s grocery run to buy milk, cereal, fruit, etc. your first day to save money if you are needing to feed a family of six like us! It was $2 per person for the ride. Otherwise, we ate at the resort restaurant, at the restaurant next door that caters to the cruise crowds (the conch salad is amazing), and then took the ferry to Port Lucaya for dinner two evenings. We also went to Smith’s Point for their fish fry on Wednesday evening. The highlight was an excursion we booked through Viator to swim with the pigs! My teenage kids LOVED it! They came to pick us up at the resort lobby and gave us a history of the island on the way over. It was worth every penny ($74 per person) and left the kids with great Bahamas memories! Overall, it was a memorable vacation at a gorgeous resort! I would definitely stay here again!

We started out at Island Seas Resort here in Freeport. Decided to take a 90 minute "tour" offered by Patreen down on the beach. We had told her we recently bought a timeshare in June in the States. Arrived for the tour, had lunch and found out that the timeshare deal they offer is much cheaper and way better. We decided to let them get us out of ours and go with theirs. They offered to move us to their hotel for the rest of our vacation for no additional cost, which is a much better upgrade roomwise. We got the free snorkel package for the tour. And overall the timeshare deal is wayyy better than Westgate could ever offer. The kids are happier, wifi is better here, showers are better, beach is better, pool is bigger. Cannot say enough to compare. I might say that group activities lack here at Taino a little. Otherwise, our family is very happy right now.

Where to start...???!!! Mayhem from the word go. While I cannot possibly feign understanding of the collateral damage the back to back hurricanes caused and what members told me was “island culture” - I simply cannot excuse lack of professionalism, straight up rudeness, and poor service. Our greeting should have been a warning of things to come -not at all welcoming... A room change due to mold smell and astronomically loud AC took 3 days despite disclosing my son had asthma. New room did not have a working phone which after repeated attempts to have addressed went unfixed. Resort info appeared to be on a need to know basis and I wasn’t in the know...pool slide closed at 4:30 and pool closed at 6 (according to sign). Ferry was out for duration of stay although posted note said otherwise. Scheduled activities were lacking and the hotel literally “shut down” at 5- like a ghost town with nothing going on. The entire facility had visible signs of deferred maintenance and limited staff equated to an unclean appearance. If you weren’t a member and/or willing to consider purchase of a timeshare you were of no importance to staff. Taxis, groceries, and excursions were quite costly. Such a shame that a property that once had been such a gem (according to longtime members) had fallen to such a state.

Great family vacation. Beautiful beach. The sand is as soft as powder. Big lazy river pool with a bar. Good resort activities and water sports. Bring your mask and snorkel. Go on the grocery run and cook a few nights in your room.

Do not stay here unless you dont mind having absolutely nothing to do but drink and bore yourself to death. The only nice thing about the resort was the pool. The food is bad and extremely expensive, no taste what so ever.

Nice place. Still recovering from storm damage. Very large pool. Nice beach also. One restaurant on site is just ok. Good for families. Good water activities. Room was very good. Staff is very helpful. Weather was terrific.Pool area needs tables and umbrellas. I would go again.

We stayed in newer 1 bedroom unit. Up to date and very nice. The kitchen supplies are severely lacking. Bathroom has large shower but no shelf to hold shampoo and soap. Pool is large but needs to be cooler. Nice pool bar. Beach is beautiful, plenty of water activities. Loved banana boat ride. Staff is fantastic

Room was uncomfortable and dirty. Beach had trash and cigarette butts that were never cleaned. Toilet overflowed and no staff came to help. Room phone never worked all week. Staff was lazy and refused to assist. Always putting us off to the next shift.
