The hotel was nice. The area around it was crumbling and decaying since they shut down the island for “Covid” scare. Our rooms air conditioner quit cooling. I reported the issue to the front desk who dispatched a maintenance man to look into the issue. He was very nice but provided no help. I asked for, and received another room. The air conditioning there worked only marginally better. We spent the night sweating. The pool and beach are was nice. All of the staff were super friendly and great. The hotel is decaying somewhat and the local hotels around are abandoned and look like a zombie apocalypse movie set. Hopefully, thee are will recover eventually from the Covid restrictions.

Right on the water. Great views

Probably the best attribute was the small gym. Albeit older equipment, they had a nice set-up. The length of the pool was nice in the eve. There was enough room to get away from a crowd. The food was more expensive than I anticipated ($28) and not as good as I hoped. Beaches are littered with cigarette butts. The deeper in the sand you dig, the more you find. Palapa shade/cover s on the beach are in terrible shape. Literally missing half the coverage. It's an easy fix to gather palm fronds and replace neglected pieces. I dropped my glasses late one eve Early the next morn I returned to the area to look. I asked the staff and one explained offering a reward would encourage the staff to return the glasses. I guess $40 was not enough. Staff at front door and check-n were pleasant and helpful. AC in the room was perfectly cold. The entire resort needs some TLC,

Disappointing. Cigarette butts everywhere on the beach. Litter found throughout resort. Food was not very good. Half of staff was friendly, but the other half...not so much. Many things needing repair and maintenance. The AC kept the room comfortably cold. Freddy (and other doormen) was helpful and friendly. Gym was in good condition and offered more equipment than expected. We did not expect to find the "instructor" sleeping in the corner of the yoga room during our workout.

It is a beautiful setting on the Carribean Ocean. Rooms are a good size. The property used to be an amazing campus, but hurricanes have reduced it to a mediocre facility. Our room had such a strong mildew/musky odor we ran a dehumidifier 24/7. It is located across from the marketplace that has shops and restaurants. Will not return to this location.

Probably the best you’ll find in Freeport. Hated that they make you wear a wristband the entire time though...

The12-story main hotel has been closed for two years due to hurricane damage, and as a result, I realized upon arrival that I would be staying in the 3-story smaller building which is the only one open now (11-25-18). The long stretch of private, pristine beach with ample security guards made it so I had a private beach all to myself daily if I chose to walk a few feet away from the hotel and it was perfect. At first, I had a bottom floor room, but I felt unsafe with the double-doors right at the lawn overlooking the harbor, so I requested to be moved to a higher floor and they accommodated my request. I did not have or need the all-inclusive, as there were plenty of restaurants & stores within a 5-minute walk with everything needed. The water and coffee in the room along with the mini-fridge was perfect. The hot tub was great, the pool was beautiful, and the employees are kind. I would return.

Nice hotel. On the beachfront. I have stayed at Lighthouse Pointe multiple times in the past, and will likely do so again. The only negative thing, which is very important for cost considerations, is that there are daily electricity fees and resort fees that are added onto the bill (which you pay at check out), even when you pay for the room well ahead of time. These costly extra hotel fees should be eliminated.

Nice hotel, nothing special, but great location and amenities.

My experience at your Hotel will always be enjoyable beautiful staff clean rooms and Landscape beaches, wonderful restaurant, Spas.

The staff was excellent. The rooms are spacious and quite and clean. I have been to the Bahamas many times and this was the best location and value I have ever found. I would recommend this hotel and will book here from now on. Book off season to get the best rates. They always have rooms even if the booking agencies run out. Call the hotel directly to check for room availability. I was told it's cheaper to book the room with the flight and that is what I did. The sand and water are very clean.

We had a fantastic view of the beach. The hotel staff were very pleasant. The lighting in front of each hotel room door needs to be turned on, so that it will feel safer. I was very disappointed to be charged daily "resort fees" and "energy fees" which added a significant and unexpected cost to my hotel bill. These fees are outrageous, and they need to be discontinued.
