Excellent historic hotel situation in the middle of the Downtown area of Fort Scott. Easy walking distance to food, shops and Fort Scott historic site.

We enjoyed the historic building. We spent some time enjoying the large living room and looking at the antique furniture throughout the building. Our room was cosy and comfortable, and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful.

This service is outstanding and very welcoming. This a hotel takes you back in time.

In the old part of Ft Scott. If you want a place that doesn't have a lot of noise with quaint nitches for relaxing, reading, or strolling the Avenue, it's the place. We parked our vehicle and walked to the restaurant and to 'window shop.' The shops are unique and restaurants close. The owners/hosts at the hotel were great. Very accommodating and friendly. They also know their history of the hotel and area. Coffee is hot and ready by about 5am. On Friday evening there was a group played music at the gazebo for an hour. We were in front of the hotel (there's a bench) to listen. There is Wi-Fi, TV but no phone in the rooms. We didn't try the Day Spa this trip, maybe next time. However, it was busy. We will stay there again.
