I was searched for a hotel with free shuttle service for Fort Lauderdale Airport. The Red Carpet Inn Airport/Cruiseport Fort Lauderdale was featured, but the details said check-in doesn’t start until 3:00pm. I called to see if early check-in is possible. The clerk said there may be a short wait if housekeeping hadn’t yet cleaned the room. Based on that I booked and paid for a non-refundable reservation that could not be changed or canceled. We arrived as planned at 8:30am after a very long International trip. We were told We needed to wait for a room to be cleaned. We saw many people checking out, so we were hopeful. More people joined us waiting for cleaned rooms, but not even one room became available. By 11:00 The lobby resembled a refugee center. So many people were waiting that many people were sitting on the floor. There was no water fountain and water was $2 a small bottle. The Manager said that his cleaning staff doesn’t arrive until 9:00. Even so, two and a half hours had gone by before even one room was available. This hotel specifically caters to people traveling through 2 major airports and a Cruise Port. Cruises arrive at 6:00 am every Sunday. At 12:15 a room was finally available for us, but the system to make room keys was not working. Why would a hotel that caters to Cruises not staff cleaning crews earlier than 9:00 on Sunday??? Why such a small crew that in 3 hours could only clean 4 rooms??? Extremely poor management!!!

Other than getting a ride to and from the airport and cruise terminal there wasn't much value here. I was eaten alive in the bed that night by I don't know what. It made me so nervous that I was possibly contracting a serious mosquito bite. We purchased this hotel for its proximity, everything would have been fine and acceptable had I not been bitten in several places. I know it was the bed because I could feel them at that time. For what we paid, it was below standard for sure.

Not recommended. Hotel is dirty, needs updating, hotel staff is rude, any other hotel choice will be better.

Hotel itself was good. Unaffiliated restaurant on the property. Site offers free shuttle from/to the airport. After waiting I called and they said they would dispatch the bus, wait time 25/30 minutes more. Following morning the driver never showed for 5.00 am scheduled shuttle. Interestingly there were taxis waiting as if this was a regular occurrence!

Pretty basic. Ideal for a short stay. Great price.

Water in floors all over the place. Seemed dirty outside. Rooms ok but not greT too much money and shuttle ford not go until Five am. Had to take taxi fir 30 dollars. Rip off

Pleasant Staff. Clean rooms nicely furnished. I don't know what else you need to know. The stay was good.

Not worth the price Loud Old WiFi comes and goes every 30 seconds

Stayed here one night before cruise. Restaurant/bar on site.the food was good, the drinks were good too, both were reasonably price. Shuttle service from airport and to cruise port was excellent.

Bed wasn’t super comfortable just ok no feather pillows tv wasn’t centered in room had to watch from angle other that that it was cool ok stay the room was clean so I appreciated that part of my stay but I think there was only one ice machine which is crazy. It was just another hotel to me nothing special

These are $79 rooms, but pre cruise passengers are stuck paying $200 or more.

Customer service is thwre last priority. Dint bother staying here. Complete tip-off

Rough around the edges good for overnight stay Vlose to airport

I was charged a fifty dollar deposit the hotel refused to give me any written type of confirmation of the fifty dollars being removed upon check out

I would recommend the hotel but I will not recommend orbitz and I won't use them again.

bug bites in bed

Other than getting a ride to and from the airport and cruise terminal there wasn't much value here. I was eaten alive in the bed that night by I don't know what. It made me so nervous that I was possibly contracting a serious mosquito bite. We purchased this hotel for its proximity, everything would have been fine and acceptable had I not been bitten in several places. I know it was the bed because I could feel them at that time. For what we paid, it was below standard for sure.
