My wife and stayed at the Residence Inn for a midweek two night beach getaway. This hotel was beautiful in every way. From staff to amenities I could not have been more satisfied. I loved everything from the beautiful beach to the comfortable beds. Really could not ask for anything more. Parking is on the expensive side but I understand why. This is oceanfront property with condos all around. Parking offsite is non existent. This is the hotel I will be booking from now on. My wife can't wait to go back soon.
Stayed here back in January for 2 nights as a relaxing short getaway, we did bring a car which unfortunately you don’t have a choice but to valet. - I was staying on Marriott points so this was the only charge incurred but I don’t agree with mandatory valet. There was only 2 guys and it could get very slow unfortunately but the valet team was very friendly. Staff were pretty friendly in the hotel too, especially the lady who was serving at the bar during the day. We had a suite with a city view but we could also see the ocean from the room which was lovely. There were men working on the roof of the building opposite so we did tend to keep our curtains closed most of the time. The room was lovely and large, great kitchen facilities and very modern. The bathroom was huge with a lovely shower. We wanted to eat out when we arrived so we went to a nearby Japanese buffet which was incredibly good. We then stopped by the nearby Walmart and got some food to cook for the following evening. There are a few bars and clubs nearby too and it was easy enough to get an Uber to and from the hotel to these places. Breakfast is included and it has a good selection of foods both hot and cold. They also have a small convenient store too near the front desk. On our second day we spent the day at the pool and there was live music from a lady who had a great voice so that was pleasant. Drinks from the bar although slightly pricey, the cocktails were good! Unfortunately whilst we were staying there was a very large family who were also utilising the pool area. We got there quite early and secured sun beds to sit on, and when they arrived the family asked us if we could move or tell them when we leave so they could have our sun beds and they set up around us. We left for around 5 minutes to go back to the room and collect something. We left our clothes on the sunbed so it would show they were still taken but they persisted to set up on our sun beds whilst we were gone which was annoying. But we went and sat around the bar area instead. The beach is nice and if you walk to the left and keep going there’s a lighthouse to see. We also saw a manatee in the ocean too which was a pleasant surprise. I would stay here again as the room was really nice and there’s plenty to do in the area.
I stayed at the hotel on the recommendation of a friend already staying there and am so glad I did! Great service began with the car valets with Yidian Valet. Super friendly and helpful - always willing to help in any way and especially with directions and local restaurant advice. The hotel itself has a great pool area if you don't want to walk 100' directly to their beach! Free and very good breakfast in the morning! Nearly all rooms have a great view of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean! Just a great place I look forward to getting back to!
We checked out yesterday (April 6) and I just wanted to give feedback for our stay. We will look back on this vacation for a long time as one of our favorites. The facility is great, but beyond that, the staff was wonderful. Although we had an issue with the washer/dryer, it was resolved quickly by replacing it with a new machine. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!!
We planned in advance to try the Residence Inn as we have visited Pompano Beach before and stayed at the Marriott Hotel property next door. We watched the renovation the last time we were in town so we were eager to try the new place out for ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised with how nicely the rooms were decorated and the size of our 2 bedroom suite. It was over 900 Sq. Ft! The staff was super accommodating and willing to assist with any issues that came up, which were very few, over our 8 day stay. The property had many guests due to the spring break but the staff never seemed stressed or swamped. We received some excellent restaurant recommendations, and plenty of smiles. Had a seat at the pool never had to jockey around for space. They have a very positive culture at this hotel and you can see that from the maintenance people through the front desk staff. They all seemed truly interested in making accommodations work. We parked our car overnight and the valet learned our car and always had it ready when we were ready to depart. A few days we brought lunch in as we have some dietary concerns in our family and the staff was always smiling and asking us if they could fix us a drink or help in anyway. Never made us feel like we were doing something we shouldn't have been doing. My children enjoyed the breakfast - the variety was pleasant and there was always something for everyone. If you are looking for a place that will is comfortable for a family to stay and enjoy the Pompano area I would highly recommend the Residence Inn.
After a long flight and drive down to pompano beach, on arrival valet was friendly (only valet parking at this site @$25 per day, bi pricey but there is no parking around) went to reception, met by the check in girl who was chewing gum (very unprofessional) however she explained about how the hotel was all upgraded everything was new. I reserved an oceanfront view room, on arrival to my room my first impression was this wasn't the room I booked, I then went to the window, no ocean front view either unless you peep around the wall of next door you get to see a corner of the ocean. The washer / dryer were not new, my partner opened the washer this was dirty and rough edges which would shred your clothes if used. the room was nothing like the photos on the website at all!. I rang reception, she said they had no oceanfront rooms left, but sorry I paid for oceanfront and also the room was nothing like what i booked. Then to be told they were now fully booked. After being on the road/air for 17 hours to arrive to this mayhem we immediately checked out. So be very wary of what you book at this hotel, very disappointed!!
We have a family of 4 and loved our spring break stay at Residence Inn! The pool was warm and clean, the beach was nice, and staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Please note, if you have a car, valet parking is required as there is no onsite parking. This is an additional $25 per day. We loved having a laundry washer/dryer in room. There is a full refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, dishwasher, and coffee maker. The complimentary breakfast was lovely - fresh fruits, cheeses, waffles, eggs, cereals, juices, pastries, etc. We would definitely return here!
We booked this hotel for our family’s spring break vacation. Overall, the hotel is clean! However, the hotel cannot accommodate all visitors when fully booked. The pool is small and there are not enough chairs or towels for guests. The restaurant food is not good. Barbecue pork sliders were covered in an odd orange color so much that you could not pick up the sandwich without it swimming in sauce. The burger had an off spice to it that made it not even taste like beef. The free breakfast was good! But, again the area is small and can not accommodate a lot of people. Not having a decent restaurant in the hotel is bad because their are no options for food around you unless you drive. Plan on cooking in your room often or going next door to eat. The rooms were spacious! It provided a nice environment for the kids to be able and move around. Our sliding door to an extremely small balcony did not work. Our toilet would only flush when holding down the handle. The staff were very nice and helpful. Always assisting me locating needed items or restaurants to eat at. Their grocery run option is wonderful!!
Hotel is clearly a "remodel" from earlier times, but rooms (exterior entry) were large and overall pretty nice and roomy. Comfortable AC; balconies (if not on the end for a higher price room) are not for really being on, not enough room to really sit and we discovered they refer to them as "stand up" balconies w/o furniture, so be prepared to "stand up". Nice staff; excellent valet parking team and service; nice on site restaurant (service a bit slow but friendly, if you get the right server, but isn't that the case most places); easy access to pool and beach amenities with umbrellas and canopies for reasonable rates; couple of room issues not able to be resolved...fridge ice maker never worked although they attempted to repair it; it didn't work at all at first then after attempted repair, ran water that froze the water in the ice bin as a solid chunk of ice...complete failure there and in room washer/dryer unit the dryer dial was not functional for varying heat levels or timer (only had high heat and no operational "off" in the cycle) and dryer would continue to spin even after opening the door, all of which was reported but no action taken to repair. Nice and courteous repair staff but apparently not able to handle these types of repair needs (at least not in our 4 days there). We were there just before "spring break" weeks, so noise and amenity availability might be a factor if crowds had been larger, so take that into consideration when you book and also, pay for the ocean front rooms and the highest floor(s) if you can afford it, because the balconies and views will be MUCH more enjoyable than looking out onto the tops of next door hotels where renovations are ongoing and the noise of construction will be less disturbing with the nailing, power sawing, sand blasting. Finally, if you plan on eating breakfast there, be prepared for a "mass of people" even if hotel is less than fully occupied...it was "crazy" packed with parents and all the kids they were feeding...a bit of a "zoo" as it were...the local area breakfast restaurants were a much more pleasant choice for our family, but all in all...it was OK...not sure if we'd choose here again, probably would do a bit more investigative activity before we booked it.
We stayed at the Residence Inn for a business trip/mini break in March. The desk staff were wonderful to deal with, very helpful & professional. Our room was better than expected - refreshed and roomy. (There could have been more storage options for clothing, etc.) The beds were comfortable with nice, crisp linens. The balcony was small. The bathroom was well appointed, especially as this was an obviously renovated hotel. The free breakfast was standard... We ate there once during our stay and that was plenty - after that, we looked elsewhere for tastier fare, but it was ok, especially since it was "free". The pool was very nice, with plenty of seating. The hotel restaurant/beach bar was slow (understaffed?) but friendly. You could rent beach cabanas from the outfit nextdoor (Lighthouse Cove) - they were ok - chairs could use some updating, etc but thats not a reflection on the Residence Inn. They worked, the beach was nice, and we enjoyed ourselves. It was located in a mostly residential/condo area. Not a lot of food choices within walking distance. We would stay here again.
