I stayed at the Radison for 3 nights in April, Very clean rooms and comfortable sleep adjust bed! The front desk service was good for both check in and check out! They offer a breakfast buffet in the atrium which was good ( included with my room) If not included I believe it's $17.00, I don't think I would pay that much, as it has a small selection but does the trick, as the food is pretty tasty! All in all a decent hotel to stay at for the price paid:)
From the outside the building looks like a concrete jungle that's in desperate need of demolition, made worse by the fat it sits in the shadows of the newly refurbished Delta Hotel. The inside doesn't get much better! On arrival the reception couldn't have been less welcoming, no assistance offered with the heavy suitcases, no mention of any facilities available, directions to my room weren't even offered. The room can only be described as resembling the set of a 1970 low budget porn movie with flowery curtains very dark fur nature and a very dated whirlpool bath worryingly positioned in the bedroom. This apparently is the best room in the Hotel! The Sleep Number Adjust beds that are so proudly promoted on the website are horrendous, they just don't work, regardless of what number you set them to by the morning they have completely deflated and you end up sleeping on the solid base. I gave up after 4 nights and ended up sleeping on the sofa. Then there is the noise, this is nothing like the Business hotel as described, it is constantly filled by teenage groups that are attending sports tournaments, mobs of them congregate on the stairwells and run from room to room along the corridors until 3am completely unsupervised. the hotel staff are obviously aware of this problem but do nothing about it! To make this situation worse if your room like mine faces the Atrium there is no escape from the noise, the only windows face the Atrium so there is no fresh air at all and the staff setting up Breakfast at 5.30 am is guaranteed to wake you up. I travel all over the world for business and have stayed in dozens of Radisson hotels and have never had any reason to complain before but this place is an embarrassment to the brand. ps I won't even get started on the food lol
I have been a member of the gym since the early 80s. The gym (Terrace Fitness and Racquet Club) is managed (or shall I say mis-managed) by the hotel. For decades the gym was run like a swiss watch. It had common rule one would find in any gym, it was cleaned to high standards and it valued its members. In the last few years common rules have gone out the window, as have basic maintenance and cleanliness. For example, soap dispensers are not re-filled in a timely manner, showers smell mildewy (and look it), sinks are not cleaned, inoperative equipment is not repaired in a timely manner. In the last year and a half the men's steam room has been inoperative more time than I can remember in any prior 10 year period. This gym has many long term members. Over the last few years, many members have complained directly to gym staff and hotel (mis) management to no avail. There is a complete lack of respect for existing members. The inconsistency in payment plans has meant that some member got towels for free and others paid approx $10.00 per month for the towel service. In any event, notices have now gone up stating that the towel service that has been provided since the late 70s will no longer be provided. The fact that this service has been provided for decades, along with the enforcement of common rules (e.g. no shaving in the steam room, showering before entering the pools, etc.,) proper maintenance, etc, illustrates just how severe the mismanagement of this gym really is. As a result, membership is less than half of what it was even 2 years ago.
I've stayed at the Radisson several times and have never been disappointed. Excellent central location, great staff, outstanding gym. Even though its not that new, the rooms are nice and roomy, clean and neat. I highly recommend to everyone
This hotel has truly caring staff who go out of their way to ensure you have the best stay possible. Keep up the great work! I will be back for sure. The reception is always friendly. Your staff always offer an upgrade (whenever possible) and I love the breakfast buffet in the morning. The amenities are wonderful too. The equipment in the fitness room is maintained and well kept. The pool size is good too.
We love staying here since they have a great buffet breakfast! Rooms are a good size and the hotel is close to everything .. it’s a very spacious hotel with a big lobby and atrium. Pool is alittle on the small side but the kids still like it Great for teams!
The rooms were nice and spacious. It took us 2 hours to have sheets brought up when we realized they were missing from the pullout sofa. It is an ok place to stay as long as you are willing to wait for items needed.
Stayed here one night last week on business. I must say that the beds here are certainly comfortable. And, with the downturn in the economy, the pricing here is very competitive and often included a free buffet breakfast. Friendly and professional staff. Quiet rooms for the most part.
Have stayed here several times, last time in Sept 2017 and now Feb 2018. Location is so convenient from the airport and getting around. Comfy bed. Clean bathroom. Bkft in Atrium is sometimes included - not this time. Pkg is free.
Good thing I doubled checked my reservations. I booked initially through central booking (main line was busy) and didn’t receive a confirmation email. Called hotel to follow up. No record of my booking. So, book all over again. Got confirmation right away. Fast forward to day before I check in. Got confirmation email for 1 room (booked 2). Call to follow up and have reservations for 3 rooms total. Ended up with to correct amount of rooms in the end. Check in was decently fast considering they are having computer issues (was that way when I followed up with reservations the second time) Get ‘upgraded’ to a deluxe room because of availability. Deluxe in this case meant a bigger cupboard that your microwave and coffee maker sits on (compared rooms with my travel mate) I also received the pleasant smell of cigarette smoke on the floor on my wing. Not stale, previously smoking rooms once upon time. Someone, or some people, have continually smoked near by. Oh, and the noise. My upgraded ‘deluxe’ room included noise from the kitchen below me (I believe it was the kitchen. It sounds like a lot of pots and pans until 12 am, then picks up again around 3 am). The strange part is you don’t hear it in the hall, just inside the rooms. Location is great; close to South Gate and South Common for dining and shopping. And the heated parking is great. Smell and noise is not fun.
