Overall I had a pretty poor experience with this hotel. I had brought up my concerns multiple times, but the staff at Raddison did not respond to these concerns. At the time of checking in, the room did not seem to have been cleaned thoroughly, and neither did the bathroom. It would've made sense if I checked in early, but I arrived at my hotel at around 7:00pm.
Front desk staff are very friendly, atrium is very pretty. Some rooms have a balcony into the atrium, others have an outside balcony. There is underground parking which was wonderful when I visited in November. Restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance.
My little family (wife and toddler) arrived tired after a long drive and were given a nice room close to the main entrance, which we had requested at booking due to having to bring all our car stuff to the room (post Christmas haul). The room was cold and had a funny smell, but we had to run out for dinner and didn’t say anything. Coming back with a sleeping little one, we pretty much went straight to bed... though now the room was freezing despite having jacked the heat. The next morning, we spoke to the front desk who advised us that the room adjacent to us had the same issue and it appeared to be a broken pipe (the temperature outside was -30 or worse). We were immediately moved to another room, much larger and given a couple of breakfast voucher. So, as soon as it came to their attention, they really went all out to accommodate us. Beyond that, the rooms are clean and well kept. The underground parking was amazing considering the weather outside. The pool is a nice touch though it doesn’t really offer much for little ones... great hot tub and sauna! And the breakfast was truly a wonderful buffet with amazing staff. Being right off of Whitemud also is super convenient. And the price is right! Totally recommend this place to anyone needing accommodations in Edmonton.
Me and my husband recently stayed here . They have a poll n a hit tub n a gym. The restaurant look good theybahve a huge atrium looking out over it. Very nice the price was great and the room was nice they have sleep number beds to which is cool
You can tell it's an older hotel, but the renovations seem to be top notch. The attitude of the staff was great, and it was a beautifully quiet to place to unwind and sleep in. The bed was fantastic and we had a great sleep.
I have tried a number of hotels in the area and this is the place that is my go to now. Excellent value and service. Nice to have a balcony to go sit out on in the evening. Ideally located and underground parking for winter.
We have stayed all over the city and this is hands down our favorite! Their jacuzzi suites are amazing! The food is also amazing!! We love this place! The pool and gym are great as well! Love eating room service on the indoor patios, so cool! Tons of room in the room for the little ones to play as well
When Edmonton is our destination we like to stay at the Radisson Edmonton South on Gateway BLVD. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. This time we had a very good breakfast at the hotel restaurant called The Atrium. Once before I had expressed great displeasure on TripAdvisor regarding this cafe but am pleased to say that the problems from before are no longer an issue. I give the hotel 5 stars out of 5. Very pleasant stay. Location also is excellent.
I highly recommend this hotel for any stay you have in Edmonton. Great service, clean hotel and good food. The staff is so friendly and professional and curteous. Shuttle to and from the airport is always a bonus.
If you're looking for a great central location and access to an easy and delicious breakfast buffet, this is the place. The open atrium in the middle of the hotel is a great feature - especially in the winter. As a squash player I also love the racket club in the basement of the hotel.
