My family of four booked the St. Clair for an overnight trip to see New Year's Eve fireworks at Navy Pier and spend the next day wandering the Magnificent Mile. Location was perfect, hotel staff (especially Armica at the front desk) couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Valet parking allowed us to keep our car parked until 5 the next day. Price very reasonable. Perfect choice for an overnight sightseeing stay in Chicago.

Tomeka got me situated quickly when the room I reserved didnt have the appropriate items for business. She was kind, attentive and made sure everything in the room was to my liking. Rooms are more European in size but very clean. Would give 5 stars but the valet service was very poor.

The St. Clair is one of the best eals in downtown Chicago! Very low room rates, perfect location on Michigan Ave, friendly front desk staff who were extremely accommodating when we had to cut our weekend trip short. Armica was working the front desk and promptly and professionally adjusted our bill and removed the second night's charges. We were very appreciative and will definitely be staying at the St. Clair again. This hotel was just completely renovated, our room was very clean and modern with great updates and amenities. We had reserved a standard King room and would upgrade to a bigger room as our room was quite small. The bed was comfortable, bedding and towels were fresh and clean. We were on the 11th floor and there was still quite a bit of street noise if that bothers you be aware, especially the ambulances heading to Northwestern Hospital. Very pleased with the St. Clair!

I was in town for a medical school interview. Staff is awesome and accommodating. Rooms are a little small, but warm and inviting. Room had 2-double beds, Microwave, Mini-fridge, Wall safe, HD TV, and USB sockets to charge phones without wasting electrical sockets. Bathroom sink is kind of small, but overall amazing value for your money. Great views of downtown Chicago,1 block from magnificent mile, and I was able to bring my 3 year old yellow lab along.

We’ve stayed here before and took advantage of the great location and comfortable accommodations before the renovations. We are very impressed! The updates in the rooms and bathrooms was just right, laminate floors, multiple usb pots and 43”tv, and the bed was super great. Free WiFi and coffee in the room. You won’t find a fitness center or restaurant, but walk yourself on the streets of Chicago and enjoy 15% off breakfast across the street! Ryan and his team keep the place spic n span, and Robert at the desk was accommodating. And great deal in a city known for way too expensive rooms.

The owners of this hotel (Red Roof Organization) spent over 1 year to completely renovate this hotel. It just opened in October 2018 and I stayed for a couple of nights. Everything item in rooms is new and beautiful. I have stayed in many hotels in Chicago area and the St. Clair is no doubt the best bang for the buck. Also.... the staff were friendly and professional. I only got two of their names at front desk (Erika and Annie), but every staff member I met from front desk to room cleaners was welcoming and helpful. They welcomed my dog too and there was no extra charge.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past 30 years. It has had four different names and keeps getting better and better each time it is remodeled. We like it for the location, good service, and cozy, comfortable rooms.

This place is in a premium location for less. It's very small but it has all the essentials and a great place to stay if you want to stay in the city. Breakfast restaurants are walking distance and so if the shopping areas.

The staff was above & beyond friendly. Rooms were small but very clean. Perfect stay to be in the heart of chicago to explore! The bed was super comfortable. We actually extended our stay one day & opted to stay here. Affordable!

I am planning a trip to Chicago to visit a relative in the hospital. I called the hotel and spoke to Ketora. I had questions about where to pull up to the hotel and the parking situation. Basically, I needed to understand the logistics of checking in with my dog. Ketora was so kind and patient. When she found out why I was visiting Chicago, she spoke wonderful words of hope and encouragement. I can't wait to meet her in person and tell her how much she helped ease the stress of travel and family trauma.
