It’s a very nice hotel at Hyde Park Chicago. But Orbitz is terrible! I did not book a handicap accessible double queen beds room! I booked only double queen beds. I had to wait at hotel lobby from arrival time 12:12 pm until 4:10 to check-in at the lobby 3 hours 1 hour at lobby Mesler restaurant! The accessible room was not available for long time until the complaint got us to double queen beds room! It’s all Orbitz SNAFU!
Big, stylish, comfortable room, friendly staff, and every amenity I needed. Grateful for the steamer for my clothes and the mending kit for a last minute fix. I never leave reviews. But this was a truly comfortable and enjoyable place to be. I will be back when in Chicago!

Absolutely beautiful property. Have stayed in a bunch of upscale hotels in Chicago(Peninsula etc). And this is my favorite. Not too big, not too small. Lobby and common areas are beautiful, rooms are stylish and comfortable. Very reasonably priced for what you get as well(we paid around $300…not sure if this is promotional etc.
If Hyde park is where you need to be Sophy is the place. Exceptionally nice staff, nice accomodations.only downside no insite parking, kond of noisy AC....but we will stay there again.
The Sophy allows us to enjoy a relaxed outside-the-city vibe, oversized and comfy rooms, and nearby stores/restaurants as well. While on prior visits we've stayed in the city, our go to is now The Sophy so we can access Chicago and then retreat t a chill stylish place of our own.
I stayed in the opus suite, the room was very beautiful and spacious. I loved everything about it and the decor was top notch. I’m looking forward to staying again.

The staff is absolutely amazing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is great. They are very accommodating and friendly. My favorite place to stay when I visit Chicago.

While I understand you arrived to the hotel early, our guaranteed check in time is 3pm, & I see your room was checked in at 3:30pm. Please note you were not charged the late check out fee of 75.00 for departing after 2pm due to getting checked in 30 minutes late, which again, we apologize for.
