Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile

The hotel is clean, updated, and in a central location right by the Mag Mile. The best part of staying here was how close it was to a variety of tourist spots and sightseeing activities. Unfortunately, the staff at the Hilton could have been better. After our second night, we came back to the hotel around 4pm and found that the room had not been cleaned. There also seemed to be no plans to clean the room and the staff was not apologetic in any way. The housekeeping staff suggested I collect all of our towels (4 people stayed in the room) and leave them out in the hallway while they went to get me new towels. I also had to request multiple bathroom products to be replaced and I essentially was helping the housekeeping staff do their job. In the early morning hours before we checked out, we were awaken by the housekeeping staffing making very loud noises in the hallway and talking very loudly, effectively screaming at each other. The rest of the staff was relatively friendly, in particular the gentlemen who held our luggage when we arrived and left were very courteous and respectful. I would recommend staying here for its location, not necessarily for its service.

First time at a Hilton. Son really wanted a pool and hot tub; indoor pools aren't common in Chicago and refuse to stay in a Trump property. Room clean and spacious with a Keurig coffee maker in room as opposed to the usual cheap, one cup drip maker. Shower was one of the best I've used in hotels. Only issue I had was fan constantly ran on heater, blowing drapes all night. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

subway ride to hotel from O'Hara, very convenient. In the middle of downtown with easy access to whole city. Clean facility, good internet, friendly staff.

Nice place, conveniently located. Good facilities, pool, etc. Staff was very helpful.

Only negative is the outrageous charge for in/out privileges for your car but I guess that's how it goes in Chicago

Awesome! I was a first time visitor in Chicago (canceled flight) so I decided to stay at this marvelous hotel and take in some of the sights...the hotel Made me feel so welcome I almost forgot why I was there!

The hotel is close by shopping, restaurants, and grocery markets. We walked from Union Station with our luggage in less than 30 minutes. The mini frig and microwave worked well for leftover restaurant food! Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet.

Excellent location. Comfortable beds. Quiet, except for the A/C.

Great location, close enough to everything in downtown where you could walk and across the street from the red line!

Room was clean and updated, pool was great for the kids, staff was pleasant and helpful.

Friendly customer service, prompt responses to requests, and an excellent restaurant attached to eat at!

The hotel had some water damage on the floor I was staying (16th). They had fans running outside my room the entire night and the wallpaper was falling off of the walls in the hallway. I was very surprised they had guests staying on that floor! When I inquired about it they gave me two bottles of water and sent me back to my room.

We had a Great experience! The hotel was nice, friendly staff, and the room was clean.

Wanted to be in a good location to take the train to Wrigley Field! This was great! Also wanted to go for a swim and relax in the hot tub! Again a perfect 10. Our Cubs won the game too!!!!!

Clean room, great location, great restaurant, grocery store next door. The lounge could use some more comfortable relaxing space

Room was very nice, clean and comfortable, did not use room much, was at a trade show, for work.

Front desk girl was uninformed about the city, but manager was helpful.

Picking your your hotel online can be a bit scary, pick Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown North was great. The location was perfect for the Red line that took you to Wrigley Field. The free trolley that took to to the Navy Pier was across the street and there were numerous great restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself looked as if it had just been redone, very clean. The staff was very helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It had free wifi which I consider a plus.

Fine in every way and best hotel that I have found in Chicago,Illinois. They treat me right

We did not have hot water for a shower in the morning. At checkout I complained that we did not get what we paid for since we could not take a decent shower. The response from the front desk staff was very dismissive and said that they hoped that everything else was ok with our stay.
