It was a inexpensive place to stay in a very expensive location.

It was my worst night i have spent on a hotel ever. When we woke up we found out that there is no water in the whole building, we couldn't use bathroom or take a shower.

I booked this hotel thinking I was getting a good deal, but when I arrived, I discovered I had to pay $48.00 plus tips to park my car overnight. There was no warning of that in any communication with the hotel.

Only perk of staying here was the location. I stayed in two different rooms because the first one smelt like a sewer. The second room was dirty, had mold in the bathroom, holes in the walls, TV was broken, windows were super drafty. Would recommend spending the extra $20 a night to stay somewhere halfway decent.

Granted this is an older hotel and there have not been many upgrades but regardless the location is absolutely AMAZING and for me that's the most important part. Friendly staff makes the stay pleasant and they have "left luggage" room in the lobby so if you arrive early you can leave your bags or if you have time on your departure day you can leave your bags after checkout.

Room was given to us and supposedly had just been cleaned. When we arrived to the room it was 96 degrees! We called down and they said they had noticed that earlier!! We had to ask for another room. The hallways were filthy and the elevator buttons did not light up. The friends we were traveling with had ants in the first room and the second room someone had kicked open the door leaving a big broken area where the lock should have been.

It's not a good experience, but not a bad experiemce. Only staying one night for short visit. But won't recommend if stays over two nights.

The floors were very dirty including the bathroom floor and the walls around the sink. There were spiders in our room and the bathroom had a very musty smell to it. The beds were comfortable and there was hot water. The staff was friendly and offered to bring us extra towels however we never did get any extra. The rooms are very old, outdated, and just plain dirty. The hallways are very dark, dingy and full of spiders everywhere. I would never stay at this hotel again. We thought it would be a nice place and close to everything however I will pay more next time and stay some place further away.

The room was pretty small, which is fine, but you can definitely see the age of the building everywhere. The elevators had a weird smell to them as did the room when the AC was not on. The bed was fine as were the linens. Bathroom was tiny, but totally usable. Was only about a block from Michigan Avenue, but it was not all that close to transit, especially if coming from either airport.

Okay, so it's not the swankiest hotel in Chicago. It was clean, the shower worked well and the location and price couldn't be beat. Staff was friendly. Would recommend and stay again

The hotel is a block from Michigan ave. We walked to Navy Pier, which was about 8 blocks away. It was a great location. The hotel, on the other hand, was gross. One of those where I didn't even want to step on the carpet barefoot. The lobby smells like a bathroom, the bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom smelled like sewer and the tub did not drain when we were showering which meant that we were taking a bath in our own dirty water (so gross). The staff was not friendly but not rude either; we were just a number staying there. These are all major issues for me. Minor things were, there was nowhere to place our suitcases, no counter space in the bathroom for our toothbrushes, the lighting was horrible, and there was a pile of rubble outside our window. Lesson learned: pay the extra money to enjoy your experience in Chicago.

Room smelled musty, Ice machine on floor broken. Entire floor smelt bad. Very late check in 4:00pm. Very unexpected for a hotel downtown. Only thing good about this hotel was it's location. Only 2 elevators and for use by all including staff.

More like a motel than hotel, the only thing working in the room was the TV. Room could have been better cleaned, lock didn't work

The room was ok but it was the wrong room the staff would not change my room. The hotel had one working elevator. Some one from the hotel followed my wife around and it scared her bad.Not happy!!!!

It is a really cheap hotel near Michigan Ave. But the room is really small. And i waited for almost an hour to get my car from the valet guy.

I didn't pay for a 5-star hotel, so I wasn't expecting a 5-star hotel, but expected a more well kept room. The bathroom had a lingering sewer smell, not too strong to make you want to run out, but strong enough to fill the room if the door was open. The shower was badly rusted around the metal drain, and didn't look too clean overall. Needless to say, I didn't use the bathroom much, when I did, I held my breath. The entrance ceiling light fixture was filled with dead bugs, gross. I wish I would have payed $30 more for a more decent hotel within a block radius.

I had a group that was meeting here from out of town for a Halloween weekend in River North. We found the room to be nice and spacious, and pretty clean. The valet parking is $48 per night, and we had to wait quite a while in the car before we were taken care of. But other than that, we had a good experience. The staff was nice, and the room was exactly what we were looking for. We had only a few blocks walk to the bars in River North. Perfect for what we needed.

be aware of outrageous parking charges

dirty, rundown hotel.

It's not a good experience, but not a bad experiemce. Only staying one night for short visit. But won't recommend if stays over two nights.

We checked in and were placed in a very small room for 4 people. There were spiders hanging from the ceiling around the door outside and outside the windows. The floors were very dirty including the bathroom floor and the walls around the sink. There were spiders in our room and the bathroom had a very musty smell to it. The beds were comfortable and there was hot water. The staff was friendly and offered to bring us extra towels however we never did get any extra. The rooms are very old, outdated, and just plain dirty. The hallways are very dark, dingy and full of spiders everywhere. I would never stay at this hotel again. We thought it would be a nice place and close to everything however I will pay more next time and stay some place further away.
