Owing to weather issues beyond any control of American Airlines (severe weather) we were diverted to a safer airport location. Of course, that resulted in delays and necessary changes in passenger routing. American Airlines is to be thanked and generously receive our compliment for the way they treated all passengers in this situation that was not their fault in any way, but they stepped up and did an excellent job of evidencing that they care deeply about their customers, with pizza and drinks delivered to the airport for all waiting to re-book their next day travel plans, travel to and from a local hotel for the night (all costs borne by American Airlines), and every strong effort on behalf of the airline staff to address all of the complicated rescheduling to the satisfaction of the customers. Hats off to American Airlines and there dedicated staff!!!!!
