First, let me tell you the hotel is under construction and I can plainly see they are working on improvements. That said, its a little rough around the edges and will probably be for a few more months. You check in at a makeshift front desk and walk around a huge tarp to get to the elevators all the way around the back of the building where there is another huge tarp. Side note: There is an entrance and exit to the hotel which is confusing for Lyft drivers (mine said he always picks people up at the back side of the hotel). Anyway, the hotel carpet is bumpy and in bad shape. The paint on the door to my bathroom looks like it has been touched up with whiteout or some other almost white paint. The desk and other tables are nicked. The lamp next to my desk will not turn on. The shower is iffy with hot water. Room service took me three tries yesterday to get someone to answer. I waited at the hotel bar for service for 10 minutes before I left to try room service one more time. The people are very very nice. My shrimp cocktail was good but tiny. Breakfast was ok. I think I will try a local restaurant tonight instead of eating at the hotel (which I prefer when traveling alone).
The staff was very nice and the room was clean and roomy. The front end staff was professional . Parts of the hotel is under construction but the hotel was still well kept and parking was easy to find.
Hotel located on the corner near many local restaurants. Friendly staff. Always seen and available. We used the conference rooms and had lunch/dinner @ the event. Good food and service excellent. Very clean.
We discovered that evening that our room did not have a hair dryer in the bathroom. There was an empty part where the hair dryer should have been. We called down to the front desk numerous times to ask them to bring one up. The first person was quite rude and could not stop laughing at whatever they were doing before we called. We then called again a few hours later and spoke with a different person at the front desk and was also told that it would be delivered. No one came during the whole night. This is appalling. We stay at many different Hilton hotels and usually the service is very consistent. We did not feel we were asking a lot but rather just asking for something that is missing from the room. I will be posting this on tripadvisor and yelp because we are still quite livid.
Could never get logged in to the internet, the breakfast food was wonderful, however we ordered room service one night and it was just okay. This was just not the type of Hilton I am use to staying in. The bathtub drained slow. I woke up at 2am to use the restroom and heard the one night stand going on next door. The room was very much outdated. Furniture needed upgraded. The bathroom door was chipped and water logged, several chips on the wood of the furniture. The room was very clean and the staff were very nice but I felt like I was staying in a lower class hotel chain. This was a R&R trip for my husband and I and I do not feel that I got that. We would have been better off paying more money and staying at Hilton Center City. We picked this hotel because we heard good things about Garden Inns and it was close to the outlets for Christmas shopping but we were highly disappointed in the hotel appearance. We like to try different Hilton’s when we visit the Charlotte area, but this hotel DID NOT, live up to the Hilton name. I don’t know if I would stay there again.
Recently spent 4 nights here. It is in a beautiful area with many restaurants within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice friendly bar area and good breakfast. The whole area around it is only about 10 yrs old I was told. I would certainly stay there again.
Rooms clean, that was the only positive. The remainder of our stay was riddled with problems. The king bed is not a king. I have a king at home. Front desk rude. Indoor Pool and spa closed - only option given was to cancel our reservation. No other options given, was midnight.
The hotel was easily accessible from the interstate ( both 77 and 485) and had a very friendly staff. The room we chose was a nice size and clean. The shipping area around the hotel was really cool as well
Rooms are very quiet, no noise from adjacent rooms or late night partiers in the hallway. Staff was friendly, food was decent. Some maintenance issues in the bathroom, i.e. missing grout around the bathtub but everything was clean. There are a large variety of restaurants within walking distance and lots of free parking. Very convenient especially if you don't have rental car while traveling.
Great hotel! Excellent location and I loved that the movie theater was literally right next door. Also, the pantry had items available so I didn't have to go out to a store, like wine, beer, and some food when you get late night munchies.
