Different, could be a very interesting place but needs tons of renovations...

The while hotel was covered in murals telling aztec legends . I loved that idea! Front desk very helpful with directions and local info, they even helped carry our suitcasses up to the room. The elevator did not run but the daily stairs climbing was actually great after late night dinners. Room was bigger then I expected, with murals and nice mexican tiles on the floor and in the bathroom. Very clean, maids changed linen daily. On site breakfast place bufet was so so but coffe was great. However, the most complements goes to the on site spa. It was very affordable (450 to 550 pesos an hour massage) and very relaxing. The reflexology done by Diana was beyond great. !!! Highly recommended !!!

We stayed 5 nights, never again will we stay there. First thing I was hit up to go on a time share presentation. They tried to give me a lessor room then I paid for, I said no, I paid for a suite with a king bed, they put us in one, the AC leaked water, they put us in another one. No hot water, cold at 6am, a little warm at 10am. I complained, they said sorry, but they didn't fix it. The elevator was out of order the whole time. It was real noisy, traffic, guests, one night there was a yearly concert put on by a restaurant across the street, I think they should of put notice about it under their description, they knew it was going to happen. They only gave us 2 towels, no blankets on the bed, only 2 sheets. The pool was so dirty we didn't swim, not at all clean like it's pictured.

This hotel is all about priorities... I recommend and would stay again, but I am the person that looks for somewhere cheap and central; a bed to sleep in, somewhere to store my stuff, and a shower. This place was exactly that! A cheap place to stay in a very convenient part of downtown Cancun. 5 minute walk from Mercado 28 or bus R1 to the beach and the hotel zone. Close to some great little restaurants, try Pescadito across the street for dinner! Small park one block behind the hotel where all the locals hang out in the evening. Food vendors and local musicians. Bed is a decent mattress on a concrete block, 2 lumpy pillows, sheets but no blanket. 1 towel per person provided, bring a towel for the pool!!! Shower has low pressure and often lacks warm water, we did also have a cockroach buddy. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had some noise from the Karaoke Bar downstairs. Was not too bad, though I can imagine it may be a pain if you're one the first or second floor. Staff members are friendly but speak little English, and don't go out of their way to be helpful. They have safe deposit boxes behind the reception desk which are free, but the staff doesn't offer unless you ask for it. Breakfast can be bought at a "discounted" price. Safe your pesos and eat out of the hotel, the "buffet" is not worth it. Pool area, although a little small, is not bad, they have a few tables you can sit at or 4 lounge chairs.

An interesting hotel in a good part of the downtown, but the rooms are a bit run down and showing their age. The breakfast buffet is the best deal: 120 pesos, but the spa massage is NOT that great.

Don't expect ANY amenities. The staff does NOT speak English. The food in the hotel restaurant is not that good. The surrounding area is filthy (trash all over the streets). The pool was nice, plenty of shade or sun. Two clean towels were provided every day, but nothing else (no small hand towels, no wash clothes, etc). The shower sprayed all over - especially the ceiling. The sink's faucet was so close to the sink it was hard to rinse out our toothbrushes, let alone wash up. No ice machine. There are no lights strong enough to read by at night. Parking is along side roads, if you can find a space. The bars down the road are open until 5am .... and are loud. The AC works well (at least in our room it did).

It was my first time in Cancun and this hotel is within walking distance to "Parque Las Palapas", where the party begins after 8pm.. they have lots of dinner and snack options also games and souvenir shops. Also two OXXO near by however they both don't sell alcohol as there are schools nearby. The staff was attentive a couple of gentleman were very helpful not only with the hotel but with activities in the area and booking tours. AC was excellent!

When I see the hotel my first impression was do I have to stay in this hotel oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I see it in the internet was fine and interesting but for real is horrible and need a lot of repairs to do, the personal was not good didn't give me the correct information that I need it. The continental breakfast was not on time. For our trips we need it to leave the hotel at 7:00 am and we request the captain of the restaurant if we can have our continental breakfast 10 minutes before 7:00 but he didn't help us a lot so this was my first and last time to stay in this hotel and If my friends ask me if I recommend this hotel of course I am not recommend this hotel at all.

The hotel is great other than the one noght that was a holiday night and really noisy Karioke

There were plenty of places to eat. The restaurant inside the hotel and the bar were nice. All the people were nice to us. We had to request a remote control. Also the air-conditioning is very loud. So just bring earplugs. There is free wireless Internet Only in the lobby

Great location close to everything very clean comfortable beds , hot water in the shower. Reception employees super nice .Everyone at the hotel really nice people I have no complaints. Parque Palapas 5 minutes walk from hotel great food very cheap prices. Little karaoke bar in the hotel very nice un expensive drinks. Very affordable hotel .I had a blast I recommend this hotel.

The hotel was nice I really enjoyed myself with my husband and will come again someday

The hotel is in a great location walking distance from many restaurants. I love the inside décor! seems like if you are inside a Mayan pyramid. The pool was also very nice. We only had breakfast there and it was delicious, try their chilaquiles! The beds are not very comfortable and we had to leave the window open because the AC kept turning off. Anyways, overall I had a great experience staying in this hotel. I would recommend to a friend or family member.

There were 2 flaws with this hotel. First, the wifi in our room did not work with the password we were given. It did work in the lobby however. Also, there is a karaoke bar in the lobby, so loud music could be heard throughout the hotel until about 3 am on a Saturday. Otherwise, it is a clean hotel in a good location with nice staff.

This hotel reflects strongly the Mayan Anyone interested in Mayan art and artifacts would enjoy it.

downtown convenient location , nice hotel, only drawback was noise and music too loud until very late at night and breakfast music too loud at 7 am

This is a great hotel for its value. I only have two complaints about it: One is that the last floor is still in construction and there is no signs about it. It could be dangerous specially for people traveling with kids. I was taking photos of the hotel (because it is really nice!) and I almost fall through the stairs of the last floor because there is no railing!. And the last complain is that there was this anoying lady every morning knocking at the door asking if everything is ok with the room...we were sleeping and this lady was waking us up every time.

Very old and run down... nothing like the pictures on the internet.. Stay away...
