Nice property and the staff was always responsive and friendly. I'm sure there are some more upscale resorts but I was entirely pleased with the accommodations and services.
The food at Sandos was incredible! Don't miss the cheeseburger and the hibachi. The buffet was awesome as well. We'll be back!
Love the staff. They were excellent and especially the service at the pool! He was right on top of bringing us drinks!!! The only thing that could have been better was the food.

Old facilities. One buffet area, old furniture and beds. Small elevators. Long line to check in.
I paid for a ocean view or lagoon view and got neither. Then the resort employees stated it’s because I went through Orbitz
The room is outdated needs to be renovated. The staff needs to be more attentive and more friendly. The is a lack of communication.
Booked the round trip transportation and it was late by 30 minutes on arrival. Checked into hotel. They gave us a double when we booked a king. The bathroom had not been cleaned. So I took pictures and showed them. The manager was nice to put us in a different room. The safe in the new room didn’t work, neither did the hot water. I called maintenance, they fixed it but only for the night. So Luke warm showers were for the rest of my trip. I’m a frequent traveler and hardly had these problems. I highly recommend not going to this resort or hotel if staying in Cancun….
My room was wonderful the rest of the hotel left a lot to be desired the food was horrible the service was barely tolerable I certainly would not stay here again
Cons -Cold shower (fixed on day 2) -No slippers (brought later on day 2 only after tipping/asking housekeeping) -pool towels hard to come by -food was disappointing (would’ve preferred hot omelet or waffle station) -Power outage on day 4(for a few hours) -Phone in my room didnt work to call room service, front desk, etc. (fixed day 4) -overall hotel in need of a facelift, in my room alone several broken lamps, cracked furniture, etc.. Pros -check in fairly easy -concierge was more than accommodating -some decent food via room service (fries) -hot water for shower after maintenance visit -Spa experience -excellent Fruit @ buffet -Scented TP (nice touch) -Concierge Found my swimsuit on my last night there (blew off the balcony while drying on my second day)
We enjoyed our stay at Sandos Cancun! We traveled with our three teenage children & the activity staff did an EXCELLENT job keeping guests entertained. We played beach and pool volleyball every day & all of the evening events were so much fun. Jair & Daniel were amazing and made our stay a blast! Casino night was probably our favorite! The pools were relaxing & not overcrowded. The food options weren't great, but the Hibachi and Italian restaurants were the best. Brick oven pizza by the pool was also an excellent option for lunch! The staff was friendly & helpful throughout the entire stay. Room service was quick & our rooms were very clean and well maintained. We arranged for an excursion with the staff in the lobby & it was smooth and easy. We will be back to Sandos for another family vacation!
