Service was low average. Amenities were okay, food was standard but in low quantities. Over all we looking at a 2 star hotel in a bad location, with bad service. This is a hotel probably for locals, or a couple that does not want to be disturb . I was not happy with this adventure .

First able the service was worse the food most of the time was salty and uncooked.they are not entertaining. During at night in the bar the beverage was also bad quality not any alcohol for doing. Is the worse place i have never seen before in the pool the water was dirty they never clining up

The main issue was that we arrived the reservation they had said we did not book all inclusive but room and breakfast only. The place was nice but everything just needed a fresh coat of paint. The food was just mediocre. Also, it was a little out of the way from downtown Cabarete although gua guas and taxis were easily available. The positives-The staff was fantastic. They were the most friendly folks you will find. Also the beach rarely had more than a half dozen people on it so you could have all the space you could want. As long as you aren't looking for anything fancy this place does the job.

I needed a place to sleep that was close to Cabarete and this was the only hotel I could find short notice on New Years Eve. Definitely would never return due to the run down condition.

We found a not expensive good hotel. Nice with a refrigerator. The staff was very polite, kind and helpfull. They helped us plan our trip around the country and showed us websites and so on.

The hotel is a bit off the center of Cabarete which requires a $10 one way taxi ride into town so it can be a bit of an inconvenience and expensive since there are no discos, stores or entertainment in the hotels vecinity. On the plus side the hotel has it's own easy access to the beach with minimal vendor hassle. The hotel is not very modern and lacks phones in the rooms, reliable internet access (only 2 computers available for 50 pesos every 15 minutes), room towls and toilet paper are scarced. Snacks and drinks are not available 24 hours a day so buy some munchies to keep in your room which on the plus side have a small fridge. The majority of the guest during our December/January stay were middled aged couples (late 40's to 50's) with teenage children so if you are young or single you might be bored out of your mind. The staff are nice and friendly and very helpful. If you want peace and quite and minimal exposure to Dominican culture then this is a good choice if on the other hand you want to experience the cultture and be around people then opt for a hotel in the center of town.

First let me say this was not my first trip to DR. I have been there several times and have become familiar with the island. I chose this location due to nightlife and fun for young people. But I did not get any of that. Upon checking in, I was asked for travel agents' confirmation. I explained that I booked online thru [...], but was told I should still one. I gave with a copy of my reservation information, that I had printed out and that seemed to do the trick. So we were shown to the First of what would be three room changes by a Spanish speaking security guard.Room one - was just beyond bad. There was peeling paint, the floor was dirty. The TV did not work and either did the AC. Did I mention the day we arrived it was 92 degrees... A maintenance man was called to the room to fix, but he could not repair. So we are moved to room number two - While the TV worked, the AC did not. The bed was so close to the closet - that we could not open it. The sliding doors to the balcony did not close and lock properly. The paint hereto was chipping in spots. And again the maintenance man tried to fix and at one point we had cold air, but it did not last long.So we now go to room number three - While this was the better of the three, so far. It was the larger room of a suite. And we were able to hear every conversation, TV show, etc that took place in the two connecting rooms. The back door did not close properly or lock, because it did not sit in the door frame properly. The front door - did close and lock, but there was a gap between the frame and the door, large enough for me to stick my hand under it.So we decide to deal for the night and go have dinner, as it is now 8:00PM. At dinner we met what was on or two of the three rabbits that have full run of the property. As we were having dessert, we was one of the two cats that have the same run of the property. The night we arrived was Chinese Buffet - I am still trying to figure out what was Chinese about that buffet. The food was horrible. I am a vegetarain, but I do eat fish. The fruit had no treat to it. And the two days, that we stayed, the salad was iceberg lettuce. And eating with stray animals is not my deal. They do not have a place begging for food under my table. After dinner we go back to the room, as it had started to rain. I goto take a shower and find that the tub leaks - allot. When I was done, the bathroom and bedroom floor is covered in water. We now have water from the bathroom as well as the front door (due to the rain outside) - due to the gap at the bottom of the door. The next day, I requested extra towels for the room and try to figure out what to do next. We decided to try one more day, which was a mistake. On the morning of day three, there was no water on the property.... No ice for drinks, no washing your hands after using the bathroom, etc. I was done at that point, I went looking for the manager and was told he was out of the country. I ask for the next person in charge. He proceeded to tell me, he knew nothing of the three room charges, or the non-water issue. He said he would fix everything, as we walked to our room. I told him that was nice, but I just wanted to go. There was no fixing anything for me at this point. And on the late morning of day three we went to the sister hotel in Playa Dorada. As we were leaving, we were told the hotel is slowly being worked on. They should close it down, burn it to the groung and rebuild. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. If you go to DR book the Playa Dorada property.

This is not a 5 star hotel, however, for a 3 star hotel I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing, fun, interesting vacation. I traveled with a friend of mine. We visited Cabarete, did some shopping - if you're looking for cigars and cigarettes then visit [...] in Cabarete). Loved the staff, animation team and the views of this resort. The shows are fun and exciting!

This is not a bad place. Most of the staff is extremely friendly and that does not includes reception – those guys need better customer service training. We received a call from home, and because rooms do not have phone, nobody delivered a message that we should call back to the States!!! Also, it took them three days to return $10 change for the safe and each time I had to explain the story since nobody places any comments in the computer system. The good things: a) Food is below average, but every day some dish was exceptionally good b) The landscaping is amazing c) The beach is great d) The activities for kids are well organized e) The restaurant/bar staff is very good The bad things: a) The room was poorly maintained – faulty faucet, shower, drainage b) The room furniture, beds and mattresses should be replaced c) No telephones in the room d) Poor electricity supply – probably general problem in DR e) No entertainment f) No clubs on the premises – you are stuck there and since resort is out of the city, the cab drivers overcharge g) They have a small store in the lobby with overpriced necessities, no travel shop or similar Long story short – this is a great place for families with kids who want to spend time in safe and kids friendly environment. Everyone else should keep away from this place.

staff was great we were looking for a small friendly place that close to the beach . Had a problem with our room but no problem getting another one. Great choices in food no waiting for drinks Bar tenders had a bit of a problem understanding
