We booked a two-night stay at this resort in Puerto Plata, and unfortunately our experience went downhill quickly. The first day started off fine -the pool was clean, and the food was decent. However, things changed from there.
Staff tried to convince us to sign up for a “membership,” claiming it was specifically for Expedia guests, which turned out to be untrue. Our room had multiple issues: lights didn’t work, there was no hot water, and after housekeeping came, we were left with no towels. It was extremely uncomfortable.
We also had a terrible dining experience. The hibachi restaurant was honestly garbage - the food was burnt and tasted awful. The steakhouse wasn’t any better; the “steak” didn’t even taste like real steak.
We were so disappointed that we ended up leaving a full day early. I would not recommend this resort and definitely won’t be returning.
