I traveled with my daughter a beautiful Mother's Day vacation. We had the most wonderful time at the resort. The food was great and the service was wonderful. The staff right from the start were so very friendly, always smiling, helpful, & very accommodating. We had only 1 issue with the sliding door in our room that didn't lock. I spoke to the front desk & they immediately sent someone up to fix it. Job done in a few minutes. Would definitely be staying here again!
The property itself was beautiful very nice resort to stay on the only thing that made me a bit uncomfortable was the ant problem in my room I called down to the front desk several times about the issue and no one ever came to assist with the issue or better accommodate me.
Not enough places to shop. No paperwork outling activities or events. Have to scan everything on your phone. Customer relations don't know about eticket to get in and out of the country

The hotel is pretty new with large bright rooms. Staff was nice and friendly. Pools are fantastic. Food is mediocre including restaurants. Terrible booking system for dinners at the restaurants. Lounge chairs were taken by 7.30 AM.
It is quiet and not crowded because it’s a huge property. Quite a walk from our room to restaurants. Not conducive to very old and those with mobility issues unless they have a wheelchair. I like the cabanas but not enough and not enough pool chairs. I didn’t like the seaweeds at the beach.

The resort itself was fine. Couple pools, kids area, couple slides, a few restaurants. Having to stand in line for 1.5 hours at 6am to make reservations for the sit down restaurants was ridiculous. Having to ask 4 employees for some ice for my son's foot and being told they don't have any was very frustrating (finally got some from a bartender who put ice in a garbage bag). Also, I've been to a few all-inclusives and the reason I like them is because there are always organized activities during the day. Pool sports, beach sports,..things for kids to do. Serenade had activities listed in two different places (once on a board by the pool and once on their app) but each time we showed up, there was nothing going on and when we asked about it, nobody knew what we were talking about. There are also not enough chairs in the pool area and the three "cabanas" for $65/day are a joke. We ended up paying an extra $1000 for the preferred area. In hindsight, maybe that's why there are no enough chairs, to get people to upgrade. Another complaint was the rooms. Our room was big and wonderful with a jacuzzi on the balcony. However, although it's described as "ocean view", it's in the building furthest away from the ocean. The only rooms with an actual ocean view are in the preferred buildings. If we ever come back to the DR, it will definitely not be to the Serenade.

The place and the food was great had a good time
The room was nice and spacious. My main issue was that you need a reservation for dining at the restaurants and reservations were hard to get. The alternative, the buffet, was just OK.
We paid for the upgrade with preferential service, we never felt that it was worth it.
The service is terrible. All the employees seem like they're annoyed to even be there. Nobody smiles or even tries to make conversation with you. They talk to each other more than interacting with the guests. They have no sense of urgency and could care less if you need something. They have zero appreciation for tips either. I was tipping all the time and never even a thank you. This was my first time visiting the Dominican Republic and most likely my last.
