This was by far the worst hotel I have stayed at in Punta Cana. At best, it is a 3-star property. The staff was unhelpful and indifferent to guests. I paid to upgrade to VIP, which was a complete waste of money—no perks, no added value, and no room upgrade. The so-called premium alcohol was substandard, with Finlandia and unfamiliar brands passed off as “premium.” The pool area was overcrowded with too few chairs, and unbelievably, they charged extra to use a lounge chair—at an all-inclusive resort. The in-room refrigerator was stocked with only three beers per day, and any additional requests came with an extra charge, again despite being “all-inclusive.” There was no air conditioning in any of the resort’s restaurants. Guests were visibly sweating at dinner, making the dining experience extremely uncomfortable. On top of that, reservations for restaurants were required, but nearly impossible to secure. The floor on the pool was cracked in multiple areas and can easily cut someone, pool was never cleaned. Overall, this resort was a major disappointment. I will never return and cannot recommend it to anyone.

The property was very nice. Had a modern architecture and amenities. I really like the common areas. There were plenty of bars around the property and the coffee bar was great. It was a great whole family resort with things to do for all ages.

This is my second time at this hotel and I stayed almost 2 weeks. It’s safe and is kept clean. The night shows are entertaining as well as the Beach Party. The only down side, which I have already mentioned to the hotel last year, but I haven’t seen any improvement in that area this year, is the fact that they cook too many foods with “cooking wine”, which many people cannot consume. I wrote about this issue in last year’s review, and honestly, it has gotten worse. Just an example, there is no need to cook Paella with wine, even the Spaniards who invented it, don’t do that !! Yes, there are several options of foods, but at the same time, wine is present in too many of them, much more than last year. That is not the case in many other hotels I have been to in Punta Cana. I’ll give this hotel one more opportunity to adjust the “wine in most foods” situation and I’ll go back again, but if the problem persists, it’ll be my 3rd and last time. Visiting the DR would be better in winter time in the future, because with the seaweeds’ problem, it’s impossible to swim in the Caribbean Sea in the summer. Unfortunately , global warming has ruined many beaches, not only in the DR, but also in many other parts of the world.

This resort was a nightmare. Wrong room, stained bedding (twice), cockroaches, flooding bathroom, clogged toilet, and a horrible smell that never went away. Staff were rude, unhelpful, and every request took over an hour—yet they constantly harassed guests for tips, even with terrible service. My birthday trip was ruined, and I would never recommend Serenade Punta Cana to anyone.

This is our third time visiting this resort and unfortunately it wasn’t like the others. Our check-in time was for 3 and we were asked to wait another 20 minutes which wasn’t a problem. However, by 3:30 we went to our room and it was not completely ready; the beds were not made and the floors looked dirty. The staff that was cleaning the room was upset we wouldn’t go wait in the room while they finished cleaning and they told us the room was ready after they made the bed however I had to ask for the floors to be mopped. Towels were changed everyday however, they were stained. Some of the staff were not pleasant such as the cafe and bars. We felt like we were burdening them when asking for a beverage. We were given a fruit plate and a bottle of champagne for the checking-in mishap which we appreciated. We just didn’t not feel the quality of service was like the other times we visited which was less than a year ago.

Pase una mala experiencia el primer dia donde entraron a la habitacion 2 familias diferentes pero los de recepción trabajaron muy rapido y eficiente, lo unico que no me agrado es la calor en los restaurantes ningun aire funciona y eso si que no lo dejo pasar.

I loved the staff here. I loved that there was many options and also that even though the hotel was not HUGE, it was walkable and you weren’t dying with every step in the heat. My family loved the slides and pools. We also loved the buffet options and the coffe shop which was always open. Loved the flexibility!!!! Would most definitely return!

Resort was amazing along with the people. Only downside is the restaurants are very hot. And construction near by smells and sometimes there is noise.
