Staff were excellent. Food was great! Rooms were not 3 star. Yet the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked but not well. The beach is beautiful and the whole resort was nice. Wifi only works in one area. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
The staff is exelent friendly made us feel like family. The food is ok at the buffet could be better. The restaurants are exelent. Pool is awesome. Wish it stayed open pased 6pm. The room was grate that is until I noticed roaches near the small refrigerator. I immediately made them aware of the problem ...
If you are looking to unwind and relax a bit in an all inclusive in the Dominican Republic at a value pricing then this is perfect for you. The staff was very accommodating and always eager to please you. The Sunday evening party was amazing! The buffets were very nice and offered a variety of options ...
We stayed in this Resort for 1 night, 2 adults 1 child, got a very good price. It's a well run/maintained place, clean rooms, mostly friendly staff. The buffet was tasty, but not a wide range of options. What sets this Resort apart, is the Outside Jacuzzis; they are next to the ocean, making them ...
We just got back from amazing 10 days vacation at Iberostar Costa Dorada. Very nice resort, smiling and friendly staff. Specially concierge Manuel and Yokairi went above and beyond to make our stay great. Entire hotel and the grounds were kept very clean. Our room was cleaned exceptionally every ...
- Foam Party was hysterical! - clean room - strong drinks - lay at the pool or take a short stroll on the lit and paved path to the beach - close bar and food when at the beach - nice casual bike tour - played games (bingo, ring toss, water bottle bowling, darts, etc) and could win prizes of rum, ...
Hotel adults only. Quiet but it was low season. Staff attentive. Food good but limited menu and some dishes not available. Spa very nice. Rooms cleaned but floors not swept. As hotel is on the beach, some sand got on the floor and was not picked up. Hotel a long way from places.
San Felipe de Puerto Plata, the capital of the Dominican province of Puerto Plata, is famous for fabulous resorts, aerial tramways, amazing botanical gardens, 16th century architecture, museums, and world-class beaches. Puerto Plata hotels range from budget to top-class resorts such as the Playa Dorada and Costa Dorada, and guests have a bevy of activities to choose from including diving, windsurfing, hiking, safaris, and catamaran sailing.
Puerto Plata is home to some of the best convention facilities in the world including the Atlantic, Playa Dorada, Caribbean Village Club, Puerto Plata Village, Playa Naco, and the Sosua Convention Center.
Puerto Plata restaurants offer a wide array of dishes and mouthwatering local cuisine. Be sure to try the mashed platanos or Yuca. Guests in Puerto Plata Hotels should try Mi Bohio, an open-air restaurant serving excellent, fresh-from-the-grillsteak and seafood.
The Spanish built San Felipe Fortin the 16th century to fend off pirates. It is the oldest standing structure and overlooks the statue of General Gregorio Luperon.

Golf, diving, horseback riding, and fishing are all popular in Puerto Plata. Go for a round of golf at Playa Dorada's 18-hole Robert Trent Jones golf course or the Los Mangos nine-hole golf course. Serious golfers should also look into playing at the Playa Grande Golf Course.
Food was great Staff was great Stood at the crown villas and the bathrooms are a little outdated but it's okay Over all great vacation. My boyfriend and I paid 800 each with flight and hotel non stop 5 nights 4 days :)
We've gone back twice now. Very friendly staff and several speak English. Hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Free internet. A little pricey but worth it.
We are arrived and were pleasantly welcomed by Victor the receptionist. He thoroughly explained the hotel, pool, and breakfast. He was very pleasant and provided me with my key. Parking is available in the side of the hotel. The bell boy helps with the bags. Our room was on a 3rd floor and the room view was spectacular. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was awesome, huge and modern. The room had a balcony with a view of the infinity pool and beach. This hotel is located on the quite side which I loved. You can walk on the beach to reach Oasis or other restaurants which are far enough not to hear the noise but close enough to walk. We had a tour in the morning before check out time. I notified Victor I was going on my tour just in case things got delayed before I had to checkout. Victor was very understanding and stated that it was ok if I was a little late. Of course we are on island time and it did. Checkout was speedy. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
We with friends and our wives. We had a great time at the pool and hot tub. Very clean and the staff were very helpful. Asian restaurant was good but we were disappointed with rodizio. Overall nice place to stay.
