If you are looking to unwind and relax a bit in an all inclusive in the Dominican Republic at a value pricing then this is perfect for you. The staff was very accommodating and always eager to please you. The Sunday evening party was amazing! The buffets were very nice and offered a variety of options for everyone. We ate at the Asian restaurant and the Blue lagoon. Both were nice but not exceptional. I was disappointed that there was no lobster or filet offered at anytime, however, the other options were nice. I was disappointed that nobody was aware of what "GLUTEN" was or able to tell me which things did not have flour. This is one thing I would really like to see addressed as it affects many of us. The VIP beach was so nice and offered free WIFI as there is not wifi in your room unless you pay extra. The pools were all lovely and several places to play Volleyball. Bars were plentiful but most have bottom shelf alcohol.

Every little thing was a process that involved multiple phone calls, different answers, and wasted time waiting around. Disappointing. The food is not good either.

The grounds were taken care of, pools and restaurants were pretty. 90 percent of staff were either unhelpful or hounding you to "go to breakfast" with them i.e. Timeshare spill. Called our room at 8am to bother us, that was so maddening. Mattress was hard as a rock. But, the a/c worked very well.

I stayed at the Tropical. Great hotel, staff helpful and accommodating. Room needs updating. Food could have been better. Overall it was a great hotel would definitely go back.

I love the environement , so many beautiful place. What ever mood you are in you can find a spot to be .The bars and the server are amazing. my only complaint is that house keeping should clean the room better. Not just change the sheet but mop the floor also. I contacted the event team for a romantic decoration , they did a goof job .Overall great experience.

Needed a much deserved get away and this place was perfect . No kids no schedule just pure relaxation . The staff was amazing and very friendly . Beautiful beach . Perfect!

Hotel is extremely limited for people who do not have timeshares. There is no way to get upgrades without purchasing. No amount of tours you go on will give you free anything. The vast difference between the regular hotel and the upgraded portion is extreme. 90% of the hotel is for vip. The other 10% is horrendous and for regular people without the timeshare. You only have access to one pool and one cabana beach section. Only have access to house alcohol. The rooms are old and dingy. Don’t be fooled, the staff lies about having access to vip parts if you attend tours. Will never go again.

Taxi to and from is expensive. The food at the resort is gross and has flies all over the buffet and alcohol. The rooms are ok. The hot night" ice " club sucks the won't fix the A.C. if you are looking to party and have alot of fun I would not recommened this resort. This resort is for older people that want to lounge around.

Had a great week long trip to Tropical Lifestyle Resort. The pools and beaches were amazing and the staff was very attentive to my needs. The food was just average overall but I would come back.

This was my first solo international trip and I can say I had a really nice time! The resort staff was amazing and always on point. The food was pretty good and it was always something to do! I took Spanish lessons from Yahiro aka Brad Pitt and he was awesome!! I loved my room as I stayed in the Cofresi Suites and this stay occurred the same time as hurricane Irma!! The staff made you aware of any weather related issues and/or concerns and on the day that Irma affected Puerto Plata we were instructed to stay indoors however the resort made sure we had enough food and drinks delivered to our rooms and i was moved further away from shore for my safety and was able to go back to my lovely room once the storm passed us. I can definitely say that i will be back to the Lifestyle Tropical resorts

The room was old and extremely uncomfortable! The bed may as well have been the floor! We woke up hurting every day! We we're literally chased down to do the tine share tour! We had no choice! If you don't do day excursions, there's not much else to do, although the beach is very pretty. You can't leave the resort because it's too scary! If you don't make reservations to eat, you only have the buffet as an option. Also, someone tried coming in our room one night they had a key and didn't knock! If we hadnt had the door latched, they would have walked right in! Very unnerving!

This is a review for the Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort for those who purchased it when it went on sale and will be going. I will try to make it as bipartisan as I can HOTEL Pro: The hotel is immense and it is well maintained. There are plenty of pools and beach area for you to enjoy. From POP it is about 30-45 min away. They have daily activities for you to enjoy and the resort itself has security 24/7 as well as someone at the multiple front desks all day. Con: The hotel is immense and you will find yourself taking the shuttle to get around the resort as it can be easy to get lost and some areas have steep hills which, for someone like me at least, can be exhausting to go up/down. Even though you have reserved the Tropical there is a good chance you might be placed on the Cofresi side, which is certain areas outside can have a foul smell coming from the sewage. If your like me you will find yourself going to the Tropical side for food or to be in that pool as it has a little more ambiance. If you get placed on the Tropical side then your good to go. ROOM Pro: the room was nice, nothing special but it had everything you needed. My room was right behind the lobby so it made it easy to get to the pool on the cofresi side as well as take a quick trip to the front desk if I needed anything. Since it was close to the lobby it also made it easy to catch the shuttle. Con: the AC wasn't the best and being the carribean it is to hot to not have an AC that works.

I staid in Building 1... Noise, music and entertainment from pool and bar area made it difficult to stay in the room to rest or to take a nap late afternoon... that building is just too close to the pool and the bar does not close until 1:00 am. So avoid staying in that building whenever possible...

The hotel was very nice and the room was very comfortable. Only one little detail I bought a package that included a bedroom suite and they put me in a different hotel room. The room was nice but I think it should not happen like that. The staff is very nice and atent.

Almost everything is good for this hotel. Location, good food, stuff (except in check in/check out desk). Staff could improve their english, cause there are many travelers from Europe, USA, Canada

The Tropical Building is the worse and everyone knows it, including the DR residences. They are smelly and if they put you in the basement, the ceilings leak and the room is moist. Gross... food is horrible if you are not a VIP member do not expect great service.

I absolutely loved my vacation and am glad that a friend told me about it. I didn't love the rooms even though I didn't spend much time there, it would be nice if they updated them. The staff was great, very pleasant and attentive.

It was a great room for the price. The staff was nice and the food was good bit nothing special.

It is a place for families with small children who want to get away from it all for a bit. The beach at Cofresi is only mediocre. There are pools though and bars and music and many restaurants to choose from though the food is not particularly good. All the ones we tried were serving food not much above your office cafeteria.

After reading reviews on resort was kinda skeptical. Not one complaint. Room was always clean. Restaurants were good and never had a problem making a reservation, remember its All-inclusive food is never 5 star. Staff was friendly and always available. Resort had nice pools and beach was great.
