This is our third stay at Iberostar. We love it there. The weather can't be beat and the hotel is great. The food is good but not great. We definitely recommend Iberostar in Puerto Plata.

Overall it is a good deal for your money Everything in the hotel is very close, if you have issues walking its a good place to go The hotel needs a bit of updating, the pool needs a bit of work, but we had a good time. For your money its a good place to go, the staff was nice, the food was good. One of the only things is that u have to wake at the crack of dawn to get a seat at the pool, otherwise you do not get a seat until late in the day. There were people that were up at 5 am tot get seats. Also its a very Family oriented place, lots of children.

The staff was very friendly but poor room conditions and dirty place as its very old property, if you are non smoker and looking for activities, then do not choose this place as not much to do there if the weather turn ups to be a bit cool which is not predictable when you are booking in advance. People are smoking every where, not a good place with children. Also, the food quality was not that good and did not have many vegetarian choices. Only three restaurants and they are always booked, hard to get reservations even a week in advance, the timing you get is 9:45 pm and that's not doable with children. (They always had many open tables but it seems they save those for their members if they decide to pop in).

Wonderful stay resort was nice and had all that we needed for our stay

We just got back from amazing 10 days vacation at Iberostar Costa Dorada. Very nice resort, smiling and friendly staff. Specially concierge Manuel and Yokairi went above and beyond to make our stay great. Entire hotel and the grounds were kept very clean. Our room was cleaned exceptionally every day by Xiomara, nice beach with lots of sun beds, huge pool, our 3 year old son had so much fun at the kiddy pool. Free Wi-Fi was available through the resort including the beach. Great variety of food in all the restaurants. Many thanks goes to Santiago and Santo and chef Robinson at the buffet restaurant. There were no shortage of choices in meat, seafood, pasta, bread and amazing deserts. Bar serves great drinks and many thanks goes to Yara at the lobby bar. Leo at the spa provided an outstanding service, extremely relaxing vacation. We will recommend this hotel 100% and we will definitely book this resort for our next vacation!

good hotel food is very good, rooms need upgrading the ground need also some upgrading

The staff was so incredibly friendly. We had a great time!! Our only real complaints were the "market people" hounding us while we walked or sat on the beach. It was quite annoying. Also, the bed was a bit hard and pillows flat. Other than that very nice

It was a great stay for my entire group (12 of us). Food was good, all kinds of variations.

Easy and fast check in but room was not ready until 3pm. It was ok, since this is the hotel policy. As soon as you are checked, the front desk guy wants to sell you some 'Premium package". It includes different drinks, seats on the beach and not reservations needed for the restaurants". It is not worthy. I have been there 3 times. The hotel is showing its age. All furnitures are very old. Room was ok. Bed was comfortable but pillows needed to be replaced. Air conditioning was good. Small refrigerators was a plus but did not cooled the drinks. Plenty ice machines around the buildings. Food was ok, but very disorganized when it comes to to seat people in the dining area. It was a mess. Other restaurants were available with reservation. We enjoyed the Oriental one. Overprice wine bottles, Spa services and excursions. If you try the pool, be ready. It is horrible, extremely loud, a lot of children screaming and in diapers There is not quite area if you want to relax. You must go by the end of the beach ONLY. Beach was nice at times a lot of seaweed at times. I will try a different hotel next time.

Trip was fair. Hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. Food is limited but good. Not a very big hotel but if your looking for a quick descent getaway, this is your place. Definitely needs to be updated. I suggest going to punta Cana where you pay the same price and same quality overall, with a very "up to date" hotel.

When checking in the staff was very slow. They were not knowledgeable of what they were doing. They did not provide any info. The rooms were great. And, the staff at the dining area were horrible. They ignored us completely. As I mentioned I am Dominican and was ignored. They attended the white people really nicely. The show was excellent. I had to leave early and was adv. to call expedia for a refund. They never adv. that if I had a early check out it would be due to a medical leave. I did not receive a refund or opportunity to make up the lost time. I had a legal emergency.

The location is nice; right on the beach. The all-inclusive food and restaurants were fair to good, but 4 out of 6 people in our party got food poisoning. We overhead lots of other guest talking about members of their group getting food poisoning also. Also, there were bare electrical wires connection our clock radio to the wall and in a lamp. The A/C didn't work in our room the entire week. The pool was massive, but was not maintained: the bottom was coming up in several places, there was some algae on the swim-up bar stools and the service was very slow to get a drink at the swim-up bar. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, but something needs to be done about the food poisoning issue at this resort....

It was a great experience, beach is better than previous years, food is awesome, great variety. Kudos to the hotel maintenance department, despite the hotel being close to 20 years old, the facility is in great shape.

Nice place great people bad food bugs in roomsnot again for us

Stated with a guy named Leonardo who greeted us at the reception telling us not to worry about booking diners, that he would do it all the next morning. When we met him the next morning, all restaurants were overbooked. Had to fight with the manager to get a booking. Not enough space for clothing. Furniture handles falling off. Bathroom sink leaking. Toilet not flushing. Staff at the Brazilian restaurant was not nice. Staff at the LA Hacienda restaurant was exceptional! Good was good.

Place is nice for the Dominican for sure. Staff is super friendly. Don't really have anything bad to say it was a blast.

I like the hotel. everything wes good specialy the food I come back

Looooooooved how everyone took care and catered me. Loved everyone.. Loved everything but the food..

I had a blast with the family. Everything was great my family had a blast. Only complaint was that i had to buy the toothpaste in the hotel but everything else great.

Iberostar is an excellent hotel. Great fun for the whole family. The staff is very friendly. I will recommend it to anyone.
