It was a great stay for my entire group (12 of us). Food was good, all kinds of variations.

Easy and fast check in but room was not ready until 3pm. It was ok, since this is the hotel policy. As soon as you are checked, the front desk guy wants to sell you some 'Premium package". It includes different drinks, seats on the beach and not reservations needed for the restaurants". It is not worthy. I have been there 3 times. The hotel is showing its age. All furnitures are very old. Room was ok. Bed was comfortable but pillows needed to be replaced. Air conditioning was good. Small refrigerators was a plus but did not cooled the drinks. Plenty ice machines around the buildings. Food was ok, but very disorganized when it comes to to seat people in the dining area. It was a mess. Other restaurants were available with reservation. We enjoyed the Oriental one. Overprice wine bottles, Spa services and excursions. If you try the pool, be ready. It is horrible, extremely loud, a lot of children screaming and in diapers There is not quite area if you want to relax. You must go by the end of the beach ONLY. Beach was nice at times a lot of seaweed at times. I will try a different hotel next time.

Trip was fair. Hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. Food is limited but good. Not a very big hotel but if your looking for a quick descent getaway, this is your place. Definitely needs to be updated. I suggest going to punta Cana where you pay the same price and same quality overall, with a very "up to date" hotel.

When checking in the staff was very slow. They were not knowledgeable of what they were doing. They did not provide any info. The rooms were great. And, the staff at the dining area were horrible. They ignored us completely. As I mentioned I am Dominican and was ignored. They attended the white people really nicely. The show was excellent. I had to leave early and was adv. to call expedia for a refund. They never adv. that if I had a early check out it would be due to a medical leave. I did not receive a refund or opportunity to make up the lost time. I had a legal emergency.

The location is nice; right on the beach. The all-inclusive food and restaurants were fair to good, but 4 out of 6 people in our party got food poisoning. We overhead lots of other guest talking about members of their group getting food poisoning also. Also, there were bare electrical wires connection our clock radio to the wall and in a lamp. The A/C didn't work in our room the entire week. The pool was massive, but was not maintained: the bottom was coming up in several places, there was some algae on the swim-up bar stools and the service was very slow to get a drink at the swim-up bar. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, but something needs to be done about the food poisoning issue at this resort....

It was a great experience, beach is better than previous years, food is awesome, great variety. Kudos to the hotel maintenance department, despite the hotel being close to 20 years old, the facility is in great shape.

Stated with a guy named Leonardo who greeted us at the reception telling us not to worry about booking diners, that he would do it all the next morning. When we met him the next morning, all restaurants were overbooked. Had to fight with the manager to get a booking. Not enough space for clothing. Furniture handles falling off. Bathroom sink leaking. Toilet not flushing. Staff at the Brazilian restaurant was not nice. Staff at the LA Hacienda restaurant was exceptional! Good was good.

Place is nice for the Dominican for sure. Staff is super friendly. Don't really have anything bad to say it was a blast.

I had a blast with the family. Everything was great my family had a blast. Only complaint was that i had to buy the toothpaste in the hotel but everything else great.

Iberostar is an excellent hotel. Great fun for the whole family. The staff is very friendly. I will recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I had a great time at Iberostar. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights and it was lovely. The staff was amazing. I am a native of the Dominican Republic and it was so refreshing to me to see the staff provide such level of service. They mingled with all of their guests and were enthusiastic about the entertainment they provided. The food was plentiful and definitely enjoyable. I would love to have had a greater selection of my native foods. The pool area was the place to hangout. We only went to the beach once and found it to be more of a quiet relaxing atmosphere. I would review the hotel a 5 if the rooms were more updated. The room had a certain odor that would not go away. I left the pillows and major linen out in the balcony and the smell would not diminish. I really am considering returning as a family. I think the children will have a fabulous time.

Costa Dorado provided a wonderful time away either as a family, or as friends, as we were, traveling. Our room was comfortable and kept spotless. The maid was even creative with towel-twisted animals & flowers. A simple phone call request was answered promptly! The arrangement of the complex was very convenient. The rather large pool was always inviting with more than enough lounge chairs & shade available for everyone. And, the food? Outstanding! If you can't find what you like or have enough of it, then you won't find it anywhere. We also tried two of the restaurants, la Hacienda & el Radizio. The first was good, but not special in anyway, whereas the latter was spectacular with a huge variety of foods served in an entertaining way. The beach bathed us in sunlight or shade. The water had a lot of seaweed, but it could just be the time of year. Again, plenty of chairs & lounges to go around. The best & biggest asset were the staff--from reception to grounds keepers. Everyone always had a smile & a greeting. And, they couldn't do enough for you without being overwhelming. We also appreciated that no one was walking around constantly bothering us for drink orders. Two very nice acts included a surprise birthday cake waiting in the room. The other was the outreach by the Animation entertainers to include us in games & the after show dancing. Drawbacks? Poor tv channel choices, but we didn't stay in the room much. Sometimes tv reception was snowy.

This is a great resort! Would definitely recommend it.. The rooms are very clean and the food is awesome.. There are various activities to keep you busy and the club is just perfect..The staff are always there for you, which is great! I'm thinking about coming back next summer !

The hotel was excellent ! Great food, great rooms, great new kids club, great entertaining team!!!The perfect place for complete relaxation, amazing pool area.The entire staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Yes coming back again!!!

I've been coming to his hotel for the past 3 years and love how friendly and welcoming the staff is. Aside from the great food service.

The hotel overall was great! Great food, great rooms, AWESOME night entertainment. The staff was mostly nice, except the bartenders and DJs. They were awfully rude and disrespectful more than once. I told the managers, but this was something that didn't get fixed in the 8 days I was there.

We spent one week at Iberostar Costa Dorada and it was one of the best experiences we had while staying at Caribbean Islands. They have great (new) kids club, great entertaining team and very attentive staff.

calm hotel

rude staff

When checking in the staff was very slow. They were not knowledgeable of what they were doing. They did not provide any info. The rooms were great. And, the staff at the dining area were horrible. They ignored us completely. As I mentioned I am Dominican and was ignored. They attended the white people really nicely. The show was excellent. I had to leave early and was adv. to call expedia for a refund. They never adv. that if I had a early check out it would be due to a medical leave. I did not receive a refund or opportunity to make up the lost time. I had a legal emergency.

beachfront w/ food poisoning!

The location is nice; right on the beach. The all-inclusive food and restaurants were fair to good, but 4 out of 6 people in our party got food poisoning.
