A few days before i was emailed that this property was being sold, if i wanted to stay at another property. I said ok. So we went to Casa Marina Reef in Sosua. They gave me a Select Room and said that i had access to the vip lounge. The safe in the room had no key pad, it just had a hole. There was just one electric outlet near the beds. I believe i saw some with the wires coming out. The floor and lamp near the tv had rust on it. The tv sounded awful. There was no vip lounge. The room was big and so plain looking, not even frames for decoration. There was no restaurants available for dinner because it was not the “weekend”. The buffet was horrible. Only a few options and not a lot of staff working there. The juices are from concentrate. Checkout its at 12pm but after u go up to the counter to leave with your bags they said that u can stay until 3pm in the area. Would gave been good to know this before.

told me a beautiful view when i checked in ..they the last minute they changed my room with a ocean view with lots of trees so you can't see the ocean.... The staff is very rude and not helpful at all ..will never stay there again

The restaurant menu was extremely limited. Granted, this could have been due to the pandemic, but I did not see this drop-off in amenities at other resorts in the area.
The primary resort was nice but I was disappointed with some of the beach area that had a lot of plastic on it. I think more trash containers on the beach could have helped some.
I thought the property had a great beach location. Bars/restaurants and even the buffet had beach/water views. I only stayed on a mon/tues so it wasn't that busy so nightly entertainment was avg. Also the buffet was avg. But...i think the location and beach made up for it. I would go back.
Decent, but not gourmet level food, some healthy options, some foods on the buffet had flies sitting on it, but that's common in that part of world. Distorted music is blasting from speakers day and night from various activities, if you lucky (like I was) you room would be on the middle of two different sources of music, so you would enjoy cacophony of sounds 16 hours a day. Resort had no gym or any exercise facilities, which may not matter for most. Not a terrible place on a tight budget.
The hotel is nice. The room was clean and pretty with and awsome view. The food was ok and it can be better. Most of the staff were nice and polite but some were just not quite proffesional.
Great value. We had a good time. The beach needed cleaning. We went there after a storm and saw lots of empty bottles washed up on the shore.
I stayed here 6/1-6/7/19. I must say, all the staff was very friendly, just make sure you have patience when speaking with them. I always saw someone cleaning the floors and picking up. The food was good, different things every night. Plus, it's right on the beach, literally a few steps away, beautiful views and good places for pictures. One thing was that on the beach there are people who try to sell you things, just remember, it's OK to tell them no. Also, they had entertainment every night, different shows and things for people to participate in, if you wanted to. All in all, worth the price, had a great time.
Always an awesome experience at Grand Paradise. The staff are fantastic from the Bellmen to the Bartenders. I would highly recommend this resort. This was our 6th visit and we can't wait to visit again
