It was good experience

won’t stay there again

I really enjoyed the property for the most part. At half capacity I was surprised how hard it was to get an umbrella or even a chair by the pool after 8 AM (pool opens at 10), however, the staff always attempted to secure you a spot! The beach was beautiful and the staff did a great job of keeping the vendors from bothering you if you weren’t interested in buying. For the most part the pool side service was good. As the week went on, the same gentlemen was doing almost the entire pool area solo and was less and less attentive, understandably so. Our favorite restaurant was by far El Patio, our server Enoc, was awesome and made the evening that much more enjoyable! One of the pool employees, Rafael was always willing to help us find a spot by the pool. And the rest of the staff (dining, pool side, house keeping, bars, etc) were awesome!

Overall the grounds, hotel, and restaurants are beautiful. The rooms are pretty dated and the layouts are weird, but you don’t go to D.R. to spend time in your room anyway. The beach was full of seaweed (not just at this hotel), so don’t expect the typical Caribbean ocean color (I didn’t see anyone swimming in it). You can still enjoy the white sands, however you won’t want to spend much time on the beach due to pushy vendors. The staff were always very nice and accommodating, the entertainment was cool. There are no free water sports, so you would need to book that separately. The excursion options are great, HOWEVER…ask lots of questions. Scape Park was really nice, however more suited for active people in search of adventure (we had small children and my mom who is 61…and it wasn’t as fun for them). The food was decent, though I would have loved to dine on traditional Dominican food (I got to do that at the adventure park after the buggy rides—which was fun!) Overall great trip. DO NOT book your round trip transportation to and from the airport through Orbitz. It was a nightmare filled with confusion and we never got picked up on our departure! The only critique I have about the property is that it would be nice to have better signage and maps on the property for where everything is, as well as schedules of activities. It’s a pain to keep checking the phone to try and figure things out. Don’t fall for the free breakfast off-property (timeshare pitch). Enjoy!

I was in this resort for 10 days with my family everything was excellent

Property are excelled, service perfect - very nice, only they could serve better food hardly see food and little variety for breakfasts and lunches. No transportation to the airport is a big downside. I generally recommend a holiday in this resort with families. The coronavirus tests are a big plus. The greatest thing, however, is the reaction and help when someone gets sick - applause for that.

The hotel's pools and the jacuzzi were cold, there was no hot water. The beds were small and uncomfortable, the food was the same every day and it was not good. The service was subpar. I have stayed at other dreams resorts and this one needs an uplift from the facilities to the staff.

The property very well maintained and cleaned everything day. Staff excellent attention, very kind and friendly. Entertainment team awesome specially thanks to Lola, Jordan and DJ Miller. In the lobby Laura very helpful with registration and lobby bar Yogina great attention to visitors. Greeting member Jesus special thanks for his sympathy. Food was ok our best one was the Asian restaurant and Seaside Grill restaurant.

I did not like the restaurants choices and service

Only issue was with AmStar, the excursion company located at resort. They gave my group and others misinformation causing numerous people to be stranded at an adventure park.

Dreams Palm Beach has quite a bit going for it. The grounds are lovely and if you opt for the preferred club, the extra snacks, the adult and family pools and separate beach area, and the top shelf liquor make all the difference in the world. The water right in front of the hotel often has seaweed in it making it less beautiful but still swim-able. Not sure we will return to this location even though the staff was wonderful. I will say, however that the "mandatory" meeting in the morning the day after arrival was really not mandatory and actually a sales pitch. We didn't attend and were scolded for it, which we did not appreciate.

The pool(s) were great and spread out. Property was manicured and neat except in morning when leftover beer bottles and drinks were scattered around. The patio room was dated and dirty. Pillows had stains. You have to wake up early and save towels to get a chair near an umbrella. There is only one place to get coffee in the morning, often there were no lids to coffee cups. Because you can’t make reservations for dinner the wait would often be more than an hour. The staff was nice but were difficult to understand and had difficulty understanding English.

Great trip, clean rooms and friendly staff. Beautiful location
