Its conveniently located down town. We were able to walk to several restaurants. Down side, the pool was closed, but we were not told about this until we checked in. A pool is a must for us when we travel. They offered to shuttle us to their sister hotel for a pool. We were told it was free by one staff member, but another staff member told us it would be a $10 charge. The hotel description lists several restaurants available in the hotel, but this is not the case. A Starbucks is also listed in the description, but I did not see one. We visited the bar 1922 several times. The drinks are good, but they need staff to manage orders from dining area. It was hard to get good service unless you were sitting at the bar. The rooms listed as "suites" are not like other suites. They're not worth the extra money. The only difference between our suite & our friends' regular room was a robe & slippers, a mini fridge, and microwave. There was no extra space.

Fist the room was dirty hair in the tub and sink floor smells. Then the first night the tv was not getting reception. Asked twice for towels then told I needed to come down and get them. Not friendly just a robot. Very disappointing. Going back to double tree. I saved fifty dollars to stay here. Oh the room I was in the hall smelled like something was burnt.

Driving up to the hotel the outside is very welcoming. I know they can’t help it but there was a lot of homeless around no matter of the time of day. Lobby is clean and beautiful. Front desk was kind and we where told we where in unremodeled suite so she kindly placed us in a remodeled suite which we thought was awesome. Headed to our room the hall smelled funky but no big deal. Entered our room and was really disappointed by the “remodeled suite”. Pretty basic small room. Smelled a little musky, the bathroom was simple small and dated and super beige. I think the “remodel” was the badly placed wall paper behind the bed. Bed frame and small couch had weird white spots… to top it off the pool and hot tub were closed! We were not informed of this when booked or checked in. How are you not going to have a pool during summer?! Bar services was not the best either. It took a while to get our first round and waiting about 45 minutes for the waiter to take our second round which never happened. They need more valet attendants as it took a long time to get a vehicle. This place has so much potential but they sadly dropped the ball. Super pricey and was not worth it.

Great stay at The Clyde!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Clyde. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and informative! We had two delicious breakfasts at Carrie’s and yummy coffee drinks from the Mercantile Cafe Express. The lobby was a great place to relax during a rainstorm and we especially enjoyed listening to a gentlemen play the piano. We would stay there again if we return!
