Best airline!! Always a pleasure to fly with you
Luis had the attendees laughing with his humor !! very personable. made the flight returning to syracuse enjoyable! Nicole was a pleasure as well.
Syracuse is surrounded by New York's pristine Finger Lakes, but a flight to Fort Lauderdale brings you to Florida's beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. Hollywood Beach, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and Dania Beach are lined with oceanfront resorts, and these communities are also near cruise terminals at Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades. Accessible via I-90 and I-81, Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) is easy to reach by car. When you fly from Syracuse to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, the trip should take about three hours.
A short drive on Las Olas Boulevard takes you to some of Fort Lauderdale's most popular attractions. The eastern side of this road terminates near the International Swimming Hall of Fame and Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. The western end of Las Olas Boulevard leads to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. You may also explore Downtown Fort Lauderdale by strolling along the Riverwalk or taking a gondola ride on the Tarpon River and other narrow canals. Additionally, the Stranahan River is a calm waterway that has nearly perfect conditions for kayaking and jet skiing.
Broward County Transit and Tri-Rail provide public transportation at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Temperatures in south Florida rise well above 70 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year, so appropriate attire for a visit to Fort Lauderdale includes sandals and sunglasses. On a rainy fall day, you'll probably want to attend the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show or Fort Lauderdale Ski & Snowboard Show inside the Greater Fort Lauderdale-Broward County Convention Center.
