Needs a little updating

Very convenient location to walk to museums. Dining options also walkable, as were shopping. Staff was helpful, friendly and professional. King Suite was large and tub was a luxury. My rating is because I expected a 4-star room and it felt low-rent. Plastic tile floors in main area. The bed seemed to be without a box spring which made it really low to the ground. The mattress needed an update as well. The room needs some updating.

Location is best im America. EVERYTHING is right there. Staff is extremely attentive and excellent workers. They found all kind of perks and things to offer us. Truly above and beyond. The hotel benefits from an excellent location, just a short walk from Central Park, Fifth Avenue, and Madison Avenue. However, the overall experience does not reflect a true five-star standard. The room was quite average, lacking adequate wardrobe and storage facilities—essentially just an open space with a hanging rail. The drawers available were small and could not fit too much. The bathroom appeared outdated, and the attempts to modernise it were poorly executed. For instance, the taps were awkwardly positioned and difficult to access. I could not believe that someone could design the space so badly. The tub and shower were old and scratched. In the bathroom, the socket for the hairdryer was loose, posing a potential health and safety hazard. We could not use it. The breakfast was average. We only had breakfast at the hotel one morning, as it did not justify the high cost.
