While the place was clean and neatly renovated, I gave it only an ‘okay’ rating and don’t plan to stay there again because the ‘amenities’ are trifling compared to even mediocre hotels. No in-room coffee maker, fridge (but you can get one for $30 more), microwave. (I guess I’m more used to ‘mediocre’ hotels!) I was told when I checked out that they could send up a kettle for tea, when requested. Seemed to be some kind of secret. Friends complained that robes had been promised but weren’t there; so they were eventually sent up to them. We got none. On the good side: the staff were friendly and the Upper West Side is a very good location.

The hotel was lovely! We checked in and we were the “guest of the day”! We were upgraded to a suite. The room was great - my only comment is that there were not blackout shades. But everything else was great. We even got the $20 credit for breakfast and a bottle of wine. Location is exceptional! Would recommend !
