RedRock is always a good option outside the strip (20 min drive) in the suburb of Summerlin. Facilities are in good condition, and the vent system does a great job handling smoking smell. Downside is that room rates are very volatile and many times hotel is sold out.

We loved everything about the Red Rock resort and casino. Check in was quick and easy and we found our room to be comfortable, clean, and very nicely appointed. Dinner at Leoncita was delicious and we enjoyed great drinks at several of the bars. Our kids loved the kids club and the arcade and didn’t want to leave! The pool was gorgeous, clean, and fun, and the food, drinks, and service were awesome. I loved the hotel. It was nice to be off the strip and away from that rush. We still had fun at the casino and the rooms were very big and clean! Lots of food options too!
