We had four adults, and three kids (2, 4, & 5). The house overall was terrific for our family, each couple had a King MBR with en suite, and the kids had plenty of space in the two guest rooms. The layout of the kitchen, family room, and pool area was terrific for spending time together, cooking, and relaxing after the beach days. Proximity to the beach made it easy to run back/forth as desired - it is no more than a 2 minute walk from the garage to the sand. The kitchen and grilling area were overall excellent and very well stocked with cooking tools and utensils. The property management firm was also extremely responsive when we arrived and found a dirty grill (with old food still on it) and a dirty pool. These were items that were caused by the prior guests, and they had stuff there within 20 minutes - no exaggeration.
Understanding that we are quite particular, our personal suggestions to the property manager would be to cut back some of the landscaping around the pool (felt overgrown and got the pool dirty daily with leaves, branches, etc), replace 2 of the broken beach chairs (total of 4 available), have the cleaning crew spend a bit of extra time vacuuming the carpets, and hire an exterminator to help limit the ants we saw in the kitchen as well as perhaps cloud the deck to limit the mosquitos. Water pressure in the first floor MBR bathroom shower was also much lower than the second floor MBR bath. Again, being quite particular here, but in a luxury rental having these items addressed would further enhance the overall experience.
All things considered, we agreed we would stay here again and are considering booking for 2022 if we opt to return to Holmes Beach versus trying another region/state. The pros of this house far outweigh our nitpicky concerns!!
