The staff was INCREDIBLE! She was so nice and helpful, she even helped us make some reservations! The train station was so close, you could see it from our window. There was also a really nice super market on the walk to the station which was nice for wine and snacks. Parking was wonderful no problem ...
This hotel had a friendly staff. The rooms were clean and fresh. Very basic room with small fridge. The team ride to central Amsterdam is €5, kinda steep for one way. Very close to the old wind mills. If you're looking to get close to the central this may not be a good hotel but it is nice and quit. ...

We had a hard time finding a room for a family of five, but the Hampton in Amsterdam was one of the few hotels that offered a large room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. The room was very clean with a nice view of the courtyard at the front of the hotel. The bathroom was a standard size but it was very bright and the water pressure for the shower was perfect. The free buffet style breakfast included eggs, sausage, bacon, made to order waffles, breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit and pastries. Coffee, milk and juice is also included. The large comfortable area for eating breakfast is very busy in the morning. In the room you find a small safe, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and a flat screen TV with many international channels.
This hotel is a nice little sleeping pod for an overnight stay if your priority is walking distance to Schiphol. The staff is very nice, the atmosphere is warm and "cute", good bed. What I missed was some place to put down toiletries at the sink (no rim at all) and in the shower; and some space to pack. The tiny work surface is enough for a laptop, but the chair height is not adjustable - very uncomfortable to work for a short person. The room is really for one person (even though the bed is spacious for two).
Excellent location near city center and on canal. Old fashioned decorations and very European flavor. Clean, excellent staff and service levels. Feel like going back in time 50 years as soon as walk in front door..
we really enjoyed our stay, the staff and service was great
