When we arrived to check in they were very friendly and gave us restaurant suggestions. They also gave us a map and explained it so that we wouldn't be getting lost in the city. They hotel is 3 min away from the tram station so it's super easy to get into the city. Rooms was big, clean with great ammenities. Great experience and would definitely stay there again.

Let me start by saying the hotel staff was beyond lovely. I was not really a happy camper when I pulled up to the hotel and I honestly did not deserve the wonderful way the staff handled me. That being said this hotel is not in some cute little town or area at all which I feel the pictures lead you to believe. You are in a VERY industrial area with nothing but big buildings and not like a great city kind of way you are in an straight up industrial park. I really dont even know where the cute little area with the bridge and the adorable little shops and windmills are, we never saw it. You are right by a train station which is nice if you are using that to get around. The hotel is very modern inside, it was like sleeping in the IKEA showroom but if that is your thing you will love it. The resturant and bar downstairs was good and nice to have right there. Just very disappointed by the misleading pictures of this hotel, not at all what I was expecting.

Don't let the amazing price fool you, this is an awesome hotel & I highly recommend it. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and comfortable. We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Amsterdam and surrounding areas and felt the location was perfect. Overall, it was a great experience.

Overnight stay outside of Amsterdam. Seemed like a new hotel with interesting design, which was nice. Free parking.. I like that! Haha Friendly staff. Convenient location for what I needed.

Hotel was great! Nice and clean. Just a 10 minute train ride from Amsterdam Central. Would definitely stay again :)

This hotel turned out to be nice once we had a room change due to a stained mattress, but on March 28 we stopped at the Best Western Hotel du Vieux Marche in Rouen, France (we’re newly retired and currently traveling worldwide for 2 years). Like the Zaan Inn I saw a stain on the mattress. Marine at the front desk said the mattress cover, covers the stain and that is sufficient! I insisted on another room or mattress. Reluctantly she showed another two rooms, both of which were worse than the others. We left because she “couldn’t have us to checking all the rooms for a clean mattress”. I alerted Fanny the hotel supervisor and Best Western in the US (Kaitlyn Customer Care Phoenix AZ) and was stunned to get an email from Best Western saying they added my comments to “their file” and confirmed Best Western only requires a clean mattress cover. I believe mattress covers are to prevent mattress stains, not to cover them up! This review is of course for Zann Inn, but its also on Best Western and I just want readers to be aware of Best Western’s official standard and policy when deciding between hotels. It was really inconvenient finding an alternative hotel at the last minute.

We were interested in visiting Amsterdam the hotel is just outside the city. A 15 minutes train ride is necessary. The hotel staff were very kind to explain how to get this train that by the way the train statin is nearby. A grocery store is near the hotel too.

Enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Zaan Inn the staff was very nice and also close to the train. The Zaandam station is about 20 minutes from Amsterdam Central. I will stay at the Zaan Inn when I visit again.

Close to train station was a bonus, easy to get to city and airport. Good size room, good facilities, quiet. Drawback is that there are limited options in the surrounding area for an affordable healthy meal.

Perfect for our family of four. Very pleasant staff. Good food and they didn't blink an eye when we stayed in the restaurant for a very long time playing board games. The room was VERY spacious and super clean. The walk to the trains is short and you'll be in Amsterdam downtown in no time. We would stay here again.

Great value. Very friendly staff. We loved the spacious rooms. Within walking distance to train station.

We are a family of four and stayed for four nights. This hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and the location was perfect. A two minute walk to the train station and a fifteen minute ride to central station. I would stay again.

We highly recommend the Zaan Inn outside of Amsterdam. The hotel is very easy to reach by rail or by car. The hotel is simple, modern, and clean. The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is one building away from the train station (2 minute walk) which has trains every 10 minutes into downtown Amsterdam. Super easy and convenient. Close enough to return to for a rest before heading back to the city for dinner. Free Parking is a huge plus! The family rooms are nice and the hotel even accommodated our need for an additional bed at the last minute. (We were able to fit three children and two adults in one of the family rooms.) Family rooms also have a microwave and refrigerator. Standard rooms have a refrigerator. The Zaanse Schans very-touristy-but-still-cool windmill site is just a 10 minute drive from the hotel.

Rooms were clean and modern and the service was terrific. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Hotels are hotels as long as they are clean but the special part about this hotel was the people who work there. Confused and can't read Dutch, no problem, Roy was on the computer with all the information we needed to get to downtown Amsterdam on the train and back which was just around the corner. Back too late to eat dinner because the kitchen was closed? No problem, Rose got the kitchen to fix us some food. A great hotel for just about any price!

We had a suite, but no coffee maker in the room. We couldn't just buy a la carte breakfast. No hair dryer in the room and the shower didn't drain. I requested hair dryer and was given one. The sheets were very scratchy. The front desk receptionists - all 3 we came across - were unfriendly and not helpful. The hotel advertised discounts and tickets at front desk, they didn't know anything about it. Location was good for getting around. We paid too much for this hotel.

Hotel entrance is not east to reach, a larger size sign needed. Excellent staff but average comfort in bed and bathrooms. Easy access to Amsterdam and Zaandam shops.

Very good value. New Hotel, crew needs to organize poor service at = rooms and the restaurant. Rooms need basic ammenities like toilet paper, paper holder, shelves, soap dish. Oterwise good value for your money

Overall was good hotel. Just outside of Armstadam. Easy access to train line

Thank you for staying with us. We are sorry that you did not get what you expected. Zaandam for sure is not a little town. The pictures are from the famous Zaanse Schans, an open air museum which is close to our hotel. Furthermore, in walking distance you will find the centre of Zaandam itself with it's own canals, river and even our own Dam Square. For a next stay we are mora than happy to give you directions to these areas. We are happy though that you at least were satisfied with our staff. Our interior is inspired by the Industrial area Zaandam once was, actually the oldest Industrial area of Europe. There were a lot of windmills, hence the wooden panels in the rooms. The colours used reflect the old wooden houses and the kitchens that once have been made here.
