Needs improvements.

The property has a great location, easy to get to & close to everything in Winter Park. But it definitely needs updating & overall work done to it. The baseboard heat wasn’t working when we arrived, we called and they said they’d have maintenance check on it but we never saw anyone come or any improvement in the 4 days we stayed. There was a wood burning fireplace but there were only 3 small logs in the unit and we couldn’t get an answer if there was more somewhere we could use so we ended up having to purchase a lot if wood to burn to help keep the unit warm enough. Several electric plugs didn’t work including in the bathroom upstairs, shower doors were very hard to slide and came off the track several times. Furniture and beds were well used with lumps and sunk in areas. Luckily we had friends staying at a different property so we only had to be there to sleep and shower.

Simple but close and clean

A great budget stay just a few minutes from the mountain! Nice simple rooms and furnishings but comfortable and close to restaurants. A well stocked kitchen, nice beds, and a great fireplace to warm those frozen toes.

The property had everything we wanted: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen. Unfortunately, the cable did not work in the living area, the kitchen sink did not have a drain stop, the coffee maker stopped working, the shower pin fell out of the tub upstairs after one shower, and the place was not clean! It appeared clean at first glance, but the tub was full of hair, the toilet had poop stains, the sink had hair, the floors had crumbs and hair, and two of the beds had crumbs all over the comforters. The property is older and could use some updating, like maybe clocks or outlets with USB outlets. Also, the front door framing was not there and the deadbolt was simply filled in with some sort of compound. Very strange. The bus only comes once an hour, which is unfortunate as well. Overall, skiing conditions were great, so we enjoyed our stay anyway!

Decent place for the price

Condo was fine for our purposes where we spent most of our time out. However, the main factors for a 3 star review are: - Condo advertised that it sleeps 6, but upon arrival found a note under the pull out sofa cushions that said the bed was broken and not to use it. - The steps coming into the condo was a solid RAMP of ice, where one member of the party fell pretty hard. We avoided that step, which was difficult until we chipped the ice away ourselves the second day (no tools provided so it wasn't possible on the first day). - When booking, there was a $20 linen fee. When I went to the office, they charged me $25. Not a big deal (wasn't worth my time rebutting the charge), but expectations should be set more clearly. Even with a $25 linen and towel fee, rules dictated that we couldn't get fresh towels or linens until after day 4 unless we were to pay another fee. - Condo was appropriately stocked with cookware, but there was only one for the dishwasher (house rules dictate turning on the dishwasher upon leaving, thus we couldn't use the dishwasher before then). - Soap, shampoo, conditioner in bathroom not restocked during the entire visit. - Key pickup is about 3 miles from the condo. Not a big deal either, but a bit annoying to have to drive back and forth to pick up keys. A lock box would be more appropriate.

Peaceful

It is a nice place to stay and I've had good experiences before, but this time the apartment was not as pleasant as before. It was outdated and had horrible beds. Other than that... it was close to shopping places and restaurants but not too close to disrupt my nights

Horrible Service.

Nobody at desk after 9:00 p.m., so couldn't check in at 9:30 at night. No phone number for hotel; phone number given went to parent company that couldn't do anything. Expedia couldn't reach them. Absolutely ridiculous; had to find another place to stay, at 50% more cost.

Out dated; NO WIFI; NO swim towels...

Not good, there was no WIFI, no towels for the pool area, only 5 towels in the whole condo, and I paid a $20 dollar linen fee! If would be nice if it stated on the website, no WIFI, bring own pool towels.

Hideaway Village

No is a no frills place. There is no wi-fi. The cupboard doors don't stay shut. The heater when it kicks on makes noise. They charged an extra $20 for a "linen fee", yet they don't supply enough towels for the pool/hot tub. The bath tub/shower could use a good dose of bleach. The exterior could use a face lift. Positives / perks. Clean. Location.

Disappointing

the 2 twin mattresses were VERY broken down to wear it even hurt my kids backs a little bit. There was no Wi-Fi. While most of the place was ok clean- we found hair in the bathtub! Also was told that every place had a balcony. Ours did not. Not even a 'porch' to sit on. That was very disappointing.

Time for an update, unless you like the 80's.

Unit #4 is in serious need of an update. The queen mattress is bowl shaped, and it made for a restless night. Fall asleep, wake up at the bottom of the bowl, move out of the bottom, and repeat several more times a night. They also don't have WiFi. WiFi is a requirement with spotty cell coverage. We won't be back. The only positive is that it is close to Winter Park.

Ok place to stay.

The place itself was fine; not super nice, but nice enough. It had enough space for 4 or even 6 people. We just had a minor issue with the management company about the internet. We were not given the password for the WiFi when we checked in, and when we got to the place, we called back to the office which was closed (it was about 5:15pm), and waited for a return call. I guess another office returned our call and stated that WiFi was not enabled for renters (even though it was advertised that it was). Not happy about this, but not thinking we could do anything, we mentioned this again when we checked out and found out that the WiFi was indeed available, and we had been mis-informed (by the other office). Although we felt like we paid for something we didn't get, and not having it wasn't a major issue, we felt like a simple 5-10% refund would have made up for the problem. Instead, we were told that if we came back again, they would give us a discount. I think this probably upset me more than not having the internet. You should not have to "come back" to get something that was already paid for; we should have been given a refund at the very least.

Great Location and price

The only complaint for me is: On hotels.com website, the address for the office is wrong. We checked in very late around midnight and went to the address listed on their website and it was the building with their pool. We couldn't find out what to do so I called the condo owners number which was all voicemails since its all closed. After listening to the voicemails and being redirected a few times I finally reached a voicemail that listed an address which was so fast I couldn't right it down fast enough, so I had to call a couple times. After that we drove down the street a bit and found their main office with a late check in box and luckily they left a pad lock code on the voicemail for us to open it and get our key. Other than that experience everything went great. If we didn't have some problem solving skills I bet we would've had to find a place to stay for the night. I talked to the front desk the day after and they say it happens a lot and they don't know why these websites show that address....hmm.
