We stayed in the of season and it was great. The rooms are huge with a fireplace. The tubs are also large - takes forever to fill but great. The hot tub is great but the jets do not have much force. Location is awesome with underground parking. Breakfast is typical and is on the second floor. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Camel's Garden for the last weekend of the ski season. We had a great experience. The rooms are really huge making this a great spot for families with children. They offer continental breakfast which is included in the price of the room - another boon for families with children especially when you're trying to get everyone up on the slopes for the day. While we were there the breakfast included smoked salmon and bagels which was a lovely surprise. The hot tub is also awesome as is the steam room. The bedrooms themselves, apart from being massive are also very comfortable and the bathrooms are nice. They do have parking, but be aware that it's limited. In terms of location, you really can't ask for anything more, it's a easy walk to all that Telluride has to offer and literally next door to the gondola, so for skiing or accessing mountain village it's the best location around. The staff were also great.

Our family has been a guest at either Camel's Garden or the Ice House Lodge (now only condominiums) with only a couple exceptions for 15 or more years. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The deluxe rooms have fireplaces and nice views of the mountain and stream that runs behind the hotel. We have stayed there in all seasons, mostly in March, but also for Mountainfilm and a couple times in the summer. It's always great. The hotel does offer wine and cheese in the lobby by the fireplace late afternoon which is very nice. It also serves a deluxe continental breakfast - try the bagels with creamed cheese, salmon and capers. Yum. The front desk is manned 24 hours a day, so if you arrive in the middle of the night as we did at 1:30 AM you can check-in to your room. Christopher was especially friendly and helpful after our long day of travel from the East. The location of Camels Garden is the best; at lift 8 if you want the serious side and access to the whole mountain, and the gondola if you wish to go to Mountain Village. It is in the town of Telluride and near the town park, so it is close to walking around as we like to do after dinner. If you go, be sure to visit RICO'S BAR still at the Ice House next door. He is so personable. Rico sometimes serves the breakfast at Camel's Garden.

Right next to the gondola that takes you up to allreds restaurant Or to telluride village..a few blocks from Main Street to walk to the stores..restaurants...loved how there's a ski rental place right next wifi and parking!!!

The location for a ski vacation is hard to beat. Steps from the gondola and a chairlift. Ski rental and ski valet right there in the hotel. Comfy room with views, balcony and a fireplace. This is hard to beat. Delicious breakfast. Wine apres ski is offered as well. There's also a spa, hot tub and a restaurant on the premises but we didn't partake.

My husband and I stayed here for Pretty Lights Festival. The staff is not very friendly. It's a great location(right by the base of gondola)the restaurant is wonderful the rooms are clean. After we checked out for the weekend I booked my room for next year's festival. They said they would give me a 15% discount for being a returning customer which I appreciated. A few months down the road I called to check on the reservation. Autumn( the GM) said she did not see a reservation for me. She said that they don't book reservations a year in advance. I rebooked the reservation. I found out pretty lights was not coming to Telluride so I canceled. There was no mention of being charged for canceling. Because I like the location and we had a good time for pretty lights I called back to book for the Ride festival. Something came up and I cannot attend the Ride festival I canceled the room just now(4 mo in advance). Autumn told me that she's going to charge me full price but since I canceled so far in advance that she would charge me $50. This infuriated me. This will be the third time dealing with Autumn all of the times she has been snotty and rude on the phone. She said that's their policy. I called the next day to talk to her superior. I left a message and they said that they would have them call me. Autumn ended up calling me. She asked what it was about and I said about the cancellation policy and she said that it's her policy I said I would like to talk to her superior. I will not be supporting a business that rips off their guests.

From arrival, we were met by Autumn, Manager of Camels who was absolutely gracious and expedited us to a beautiful and complete room with all the amenities. Robes, shampoos, conditioners, moisturizer, bath salt and body wash plus hair dryer are included. There is a huge, including Salmon and Capers, continental breakfast everyday hosted by Cindy and Rico on the 2nd floor just off the elevator. Ask Cindy or Rico for advice re everything about Telluride and take it. Excellent. By the way, Rico owns Rico's bar at the sister property next door, The Ice House. Stop in have a drink and listen to the stories of a man who has lived in Telluride for 27 years. In the afternoon around 5pm there is a wine and cheese party in the lounge just off the registration desk area. Our host our first night was Tom, a great conversationalist and host. Tom also works the front desk. The spa, including steam bath and outdoor hot tub is on the 2nd floor just off the elevator. Towels are located there. Use your in room provided comfortable and warm robes located in your bath. Plenty of hooks inside and outside to hang your robes. Your rooms will be cleaned in a flash. Kerry, Manager of housekeeping, makes sure that all is well daily. Upon check out Kerry came to the front desk to return a phone charger that we inadvertently left in the room. Another example of fine service. Other staff members that are notable is Teresa and Rio at the front desk mainly because of their professionalism and attitude. Also in the complex is Atmosphere Day Spa around the corner from registration. See Michelle or Lacy for assistance. Full body Massages available. Make an appointment as they are quite busy. I used the Oxygen everyday due to the altitude, base is 8750 ft. above sea level, to replenish and relax. Really made me feel good after skiing at altitudes up to 12,000 ft.. $25 one time and used Oxygen everyday thru our time at Camels. Another area that really worked well for us was Telluride Sports, again in the complex off registration area. See Tara, Miller or Arthur for assistance in renting equipment. They are efficient, professional and customer service oriented. Rent equipment on their website prior to arrival and save 20% on your bill. There are 3 rental packages - Demo, Performance and Sport depending on your ability. Easy to do and fast. They will take your ski equipment to be stored at Camels Garden Hotel Ski Valet for storage located within the hotel. Head toward room 105 and look right for the door to Ski Valet. See Mike or Jessie for assistance and weather info. Your skis will be placed outside on the valet rack everyday so put on your boots in your room and take a short walk to pick up the skis from Ski Valet. Leaving Ski Valet is a short walk to the Telluride Station Gondola and you are off to a wonderful day on the mountain. Finally, again off registration, is the Oaks BBQ. Great place after ski for beer and wine. A full menu of snacks and food is offered. Great service. Enjoy because its good.

Great location. Convenient access to the spa and restaurant on the first floor, and the ski lift and gondola station right outside. Spacious room. Decent continental breakfast. Would definitely stay here in the future.

My family has made this our go to for Christmas vacation. Great location by the gondola, walking distance to everywhere in Telluride you want to go. Also love the hot tub. Hotel staff is always helpful and friendly and the rooms are great.

Camel's Garden is next to the gondola and another lift to the black slopes. Literally just yards away. Ski Rental Shop is downstairs so you can rent your skis and leave them each night to pick up in the morning. Oaks Restaurant is on the ground floor with great Southern barbecue. Hotel has a free wine and cheese happy hour from 5 to 6. Free breakfast from around 7 to 9 consisting of fruit, fresh baked do-nuts and rolls, salmon, toast, tea, juices, coffee, hot chocolate. Staff is excellent. Rooms are top notch. Maids are very efficient. Free town transportation runs past the front door. Everything in Telluride is within walking distance from the hotel. Traveled with a ski club so got discounts on the rooms.
