Hot tub was scummy and the neighborhood don’t look like the best place to be. Dirtier than I like. It’s a cheap place to sleep but just over a block away are much better hotels. Staff was amazing and super friendly though.

This hotel is a favorite of me and my kids staycations. I enjoy the affordability and the kids enjoy the pool the most. They could have given us a cleaner room last stay. Our room smelled musty and there was an oily handprint on the wall above a headboard which was gross. The worker offered to move us but we had already settled in and didnt want to move everything. Breakfast is basic but good! Will continue to stay here.

I checked in about 2 am with a reservation. Clerk (no name tag, red hair, abundant tattoos and piercings) gave me 2 key cards for a 3rd floor room, but when I got there, neither of them worked. So back to the front desk, was handed 2 keys to a different room (no apology) and then neither key worked for the second room. Clerk grudgingly came and verified they didn't work, told me some of the locks don't work and new ones had been ordered, as if that solved the problem. When I observed that I still didn't have a room to sleep in, clerk took me to one at the end of the hall that did open, with extra fans running inside and a strong cleaning solution smell. When I hesitated, clerk rudely threatened, "I could just check you out right now," making my only other choice to leave the hotel I'd already paid for and look for something else in the middle of the night. So I stayed in the room, which had not been vacuumed and had crumbling plaster behind the not-so-clean toilet, and had a headache for several days after from the smell in the room. The clerk was apparently too busy with their craft project (something involving pliers and wire) to simply make a list of the rooms with locks that don't work. It's ridiculous to send a guest to find out, and double ridiculous to do it TWICE. There are other mediocre hotels in this area of Topeka--you can definitely find one better managed than this one, which doesn't even know which rooms it can unlock.

This place is terrible looks run down, TV did not work (front desk person fixed it she was great) when you dial the front desk no one answers, I was told it it supposed to be fixed. Shower did not work.

We had 3 rooms w/ 2 queens each. The hotel was nearly full, and it appeared that only one poor staff member was responsible for it all. All rooms smelled musty and smoked in. The lamp shades were cracked and broken, and one was missing a bulb. In one tub, the faucet would pull away from the tile, and there were loose bathroom tiles. The carpets were dirty and torn, and at least one mattress had staining. Lastly, there was dog poop in one of the stairwells. If this hotel is rated 7.2, I’d hate to see the 5.8 hotel that we passed up.

THEY "SERVICE CHARGE" 50 DOLLARS EXTRA!!! IF YOU PAY WITH DEBIT OR CREDIT ITS 50 DOLLARS. PAY WITH CASH? YOU'RE SOL BECAUSE THEY CHARGE 150 DOLLARS!!! NOT EVEN WORTH IT!!! Some windows on ground level had screens broken and bent, looking like someone was trying to break into the rooms. My room had the screen totally broken off and hanging. No window locks. Toilet had sound of running water the whole time we was there. Sound of fast rushing water was sounding throughout the hotel. Smelled like chlorine and mildew at the same time. Lady that checked us in was rude and unfriendly. Additional charge wasn't worth the price of staying there. It definitely felt unsafe, worse than a cheap motel.

Check in went fine until i entered the unmade room, sheets and towels wer we stull piled back to the front desk to request a nee room, no apologies for the inconvenience, but did get a different room. It was clean, but the TV didn't work.breakfast was decent. No privacy from the Home Depot parking lot behind the hotel, but the soundproofing is good. For the price, it was a decent stay.
