Our bathroom was so small that you couldn't turn without hitting anything. The sink was horribly done, it didn't drain well and water splashed everywhere! They definitely need to find a better sink. There was barely any lighting and one of our lamps was not working. I had booked Friday-Sunday through Orbitz. But since my husband and I are were working Sakura Con Thursday-Sunday, I had called the hotel to see how much another night would be. She told me it would be an extra certain am she even left me a voicemail stating that amount. On Saturday I noticed 2 charges that didn't add up so I spoke to the front desk and he told me Thursday is certaiand I even showed him my visual voicemail and told him to listen to it but he kept cutting me off and kept repeating the same thing. He wasn't even trying to listen to me and was so rude I had to tell him to please stop cutting me off because it's making me upset. He also told me they're are pending charges because I have 2 reservations which is WRONG again bc the front desk lady I booked Thursday night said i would only be held to one deposit fee. He then belittled me, talking to me like I'm stupid and I don't understand. I kept telling him to listen to the voicemail and he refused. Then he proceeded to say let me just print it out because you obviously don't understand and I can't explain it to you. I was so angry! As I walked away, him and 2 other staff started to say bad things about me thinking I couldn't hear! HORRIBLE!!
From the valet and front desk agent to the fabulous newly renovated rooms, this is a fantastic hotel choice for travelers to downtown Seattle. The current construction is only temporary as I'm sure everything will be fabulous once the construction is done! You can't beat the location of this hotel either - its close to everything in downtown Seattle!
This hotel was built in the 1920's, and right now they're in the process of remodeling it. Our room was beautifully redone and the staff was super friendly. You're right in the center of everything in downtown Seattle — Barnes & Noble, Nordstrom, the train station, shopping, dining. I would definitely come back here!
Valet parking, with in and out privileges. Efficient room design. Not loud for being in the heart of downtown.
great experience, superb room, absolutely awesome shower, attentive staff and very very comfortable.
Very small room for a "studio suite." Bathroom door is see thru glass!!! we were with our son so that was a big issue! Closet is too small. Closet door would not close. Had someone fix it and it was fixed until after 3x of opening and closing it! Closet door would not even open all the way because it was hitting the chair! One thing I loved was the bed! It was really comfortable! But with all the issues we had for a 3 night stay, i regret staying here! Oh one other thing- the receptionist that checked us in seemed she could care less! I was asking for a room switch but she straight up said no! She wasn't rude but she could've been more helpful and empathizes with all the issues! All other staff were friendly.
This was our 2nd stay and we loved the upgrades to the room, especially the bed! Having a sofa in the room also made it comfortable to sit around in between activities. The location is convenient for downtown and Capital Hill.
Convenient downtown location, but be ready to pay through the nose for valet parking. $55 with tax - come on, is Seattle Manhattan in their mind? Staff were wonderful, gave us fantastic recommendations and very friendly.
Awesome! Will definitely use this hotel again when guests are in town.
The room, hotel staff, and locale were perfect! Would definitely stay here again in the future.
No breakfast no parking no accommodations for all the money you spend you get nothing
Welcoming at registration... was being remodeled but where attentive and clean.
We checked in early to our hotel as we wanted to do some walking around downtown Seattle. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was a spacious King with a comfortable bed and pillows. Nice decor and amenities. The hotel was undergoing some improvements, so, there was construction noise as we were checking out of the hotel. Plus, a bit of dust. There are 2 elevators, but only one was functional due to the construction at this time. They have plenty of signs about construction and the limited availability of the elevator, so, this did not come as a surprise.
Bottom line, don't stay here until they have finished renovations. Or at a minimum, make sure you aren't on a floor above or below the renovations (was the 7th floor while we were there on 7/19-7/21). I made this reservation based on other positive reviews, hotel location and price. When we checked in, they said nothing about the hotel being under renovation (other than the lobby which was obvious). But when we got to our room, you couldn't even hear yourself think from the sound of jackhammers? in what I assume was the room above us. We called the front desk who told us this would be going on each day from 9a-5p. Only after complaining did the front desk explain that they could not move us, but would refund 1 of our 2 nights stays. In addition, the room had a layer of dust on all surfaces. And I'm not sure if it's a Seattle thing, but the room cleaning was next to non-existent. The sheet/comforter were just tossed back across the bed, a towel that was left on the floor by us to be replaced was still there. No new towels. Dust still on all surfaces. One of the two elevators was unavailable during the day so wait times were up to 5 minutes. The hotel front desk staff was not interested in being helpful. I'm not sure how much of that was because they were receiving plenty of complaints on a daily basis.
I was given a TINY room with no closet and no furniture, only a bed, not even a chair Asked for a change of room, after a lot of eye rolling and rudeness finally got one of the unrenovated rooms which was great (they're basically converting each room in two!) but had drills screeching all day long :(. Not a good experience.
Hotel staff is very friendly. The lobby is inviting and a great place to lounge. Location is close to all the places you want to be in downtown.
Small room with fewer amenities,no refrigerator in the room.
Excellent location and friendly staff. Our corner room on the 20th floor had a beatiful view of the waterfront. We enjoyed our stay at the Roosevelt.
Went to a show @ The Paramount Theatre, which was just down the street.
The hotel staff was very helpful they helped me get around town and the hotel was next to everything i planned on visiting
