Our room had a deodorizer smell that was extremely strong alon with rest of hotel. Carpet seemed dirty in room as well. Very outdated. My room was never cleaned and we were there for 4 days. We finally asked for room to be cleaned and staff told us they didn’t have anyone available. We asked for towels and were told no one could bring us any. They also refused to empty trash cans. Breakfast was subpar. Eggs were horrible and an odd brown color. Disappointed completely with this hotel. Not worth even a portion of the money we spent. Should be classified as a 1 Star Hotel.

I booked a room for me, my wife and two 6 year olds. I walked in, took off my shoes and found I was standing on a soaking wet carpet. Then we discovered the toilet didn't work and the carpet was soaking wet was because the toilet overflowed and ran out of the bathroom. At the front desk I was told there was nothing they could do. There were no other rooms available and no maintenance person and to "put towels over the carpeting." Then I was handed a plunger. So now I'm plunging their toilet. It didn't work. I asked to be comped as I had an unusable bathroom, and walked through toilet water in bare feet and had to plunge a clogged toilet that they knew didn't work before they put us in the room. I was told no. I asked to speak to a manager and was told the manager wasn't there, she'd be there in the morning. In the morning I was told she'd be there in the afternoon. In the afternoon I was told she wasn't there, but she was there last night! I asked to be put in a different room and they did. They said they spoke to her and she told them not to comp me but to give me member points toward a free stay at another time. This does no good as I won't stay at a Best Western again. I asked them to get her on the phone. They refused and offered me her email. I want to talk to a person that makes decisions and have them explain why it's ok to put a family in a room with a toilet they know doesn't work, a carpet they knew was soaked in toilet water and then charge them for it.

Had a great first time visit to the area. Hotel was excellent!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were large and clean. Although a bit dated. I would definitely stay here again!

Booked a quick trip to Florida to look at property in North Port. Decided to stay in Venice because we heard how nice it was there. Picked this hotel after reading reviews. We we very pleased with our choice. Staff was very nice. Rooms were immaculate. Full breakfast was included. Nice variety of food and very good. Would definitely stay here again.

Room/suite was large and comfortable with bed area and sofa,dining area including microwave and small fridge. Updated and very clean with delicious buffet breakfast included (eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, pancakes/waffles, yogurts, cereals, fruits, juices, rolls etc) and nice lobby and large sitting areas with TVs etc for visiting or relaxing. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely plan to stay here again when in the Venice area.

We hadn't stayed at a Best Western in quite sometime and upon arrival the first thing we saw was a big Christmas tree with a train around the base. Couldn't help but smile. Our room (suite) was large and inviting. It was well lit - you could see that the room nice and clean! (I hate dreary under illuminated 'cells' that some hotel chains call rooms..) The bath was on the left when we entered the room - this meant that it was separated from the sleeping area by solid looking walls and the width of the "living room". We're at an age where sleeping through the night is the exception - the muffling effect on both bathroom light and noise was a real plus. The queen sized bed with an after market king sized foam topper that spilled over on each side of the mattress looked funny and it made the bed look lumpy. I was worried it wouldn't be comfortable...wrong! - The bed turned out be pleasantly comfortable and we slept well. I'm still trying to figure how that worked... As an added bonus the room included a sanitized TV remote and an air whole room filter/sanitizer. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Liked the non-smoking floor. Breakfast area was clean and food was fresh. Overall, really enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed my recent stay at Best Western Ambassador Suites in Venice. Hotel was in a convenient location next to I-75 and also close to the attraction of Venice. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The included breakfast was also very nice.

We stayed for the triathlon in Venice. Rooms were great, clean and comfortable, price was also great. Would stay here again

Hotel was very convenient to I-75, several eating establishments and gas stations nearby. Room was a bit musty and damp, but was certainly tolerable. Lobby and dining were refurbished but room could have used an update.

The hotel was very good. It's right off the X-way and within 5 miles of Venice. Breakfast was excellent every morning and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There is some renovation going on with the baseboards, but I didn't see anyone working on the problem while we were there. New flat screen TVs were available but none had Hi Def. Overall, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and the pool was refreshing and clean. Also, several restaurants were within walking distance for extra convenience.

Staff was kind and friendly. Breakfast delicious. Peaceful and comfortable. The pool a little small. Overall recommended.

Wonderful Ms. @ desk to welcome us. Great stay and wonderful beds and cleanliness. Couldn't find a complaint if I tried. Stayed july 16th.

worst hotel experience i've ever had

I would like to thank you for taking the time to leave comments on your stay with us. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have had during your time here. We have on record that you checked in to your guest room at 4pm. There was no communication to the front desk describing this "soaking wet carpet" that you encountered just after your check in. If this were the case, the desk agent would have definitely relocated your family to a new room at that time. At 11pm, 7 hours after your check in, the front desk was contacted about the wet carpet and toilet issues. The desk agent offered to go to your room in which you declined. At this time, we were now sold out, and this is why he then offered the plunger. The next morning, our maintenance supervisor went to your room and found no issue with the toilet, no soaking wet carpet, or any soaked towels. However, as you requested, we did move you to another room. Our front desk agents relayed that the manager had just worked the overnight shift explaining why she was not present to help resolve the situation. Our goal is to always provide the best overall experience for our guests. We are sorry we were not able to do this in your situation.
