I stayed there as a solo Female traveler and instantly was not happy with the hotel or surrounding. The hotel ok but the neighborhood very rough and I felt very unsafe. The pics talked about rustic charm, which means old unclean. I paid for 3 nights and orbitz refused to reimburse me stating their policy is non refundable. That basically said to me dear valued customer we dont actually value you at all even though you use our services very often, we hope you don't get robbed or worse and we will not refund you. It was a slap in the face, I left anyway and moved to a hotel a few blocks up.

THIS HOTEL IS AWFUL. IF YOURE DESPERATE TO STAY SOMEWHERE CHEAP I ONLY RECOMMEND 1 night!! The breakfast is horrible. I told the guy that they needed to fill up the waffles and he told me there was 1 more left and told us to share. What the heck!!!!!!!!! Not to mention I think their families are living in there. You can hear them cooking in one of the rooms on the 2nd floor and their children's toys and shoes were out in the hall way. God forbid don't stay here

Great staff. Let me check in early. Cool elevator. Nice city view.

When we checked in, the front desk person mentioned that wifi was not available since the whole city was out of power. Shops/restaurants in the neighborhood looked fine and my booking information was confirmed with their PC though. No wifi/heating on the first evening. Bath room lighting didn't work for two nights. Broken window lock and drain stopper were ignored. I requested a partial refund, but the manager refused it by lying the situation.

The hotel is in the worst part of town and only transients or street people would stay in this hotel. No amenities.

Even the staff were reasonably helpful the hotel did not offer good value for money. The first room I was allocated the blinds did not work and couldn't be closed. I was given another room. There were no instructions on how to operate the shower near the shower itself and only in reception. I later noticed the toilet bowl was leaking. I do not think that it was goodvalue for $137

This maybe a 2 star hotel but the service of the staffs are like in a 5 star hotel! They are very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, helpful and many more.

As soon as the cab stopped in front of the hotel I was warned not to walk around the area. The lobby gave me an unsafe feeling. As I went to my room I just knew that I shouldn't stay but really had no choice. The smell of urine was rampant from the room to the outdoors. I slept with the windows open, no AC, and was woken up to people yelling outside all night. I was not terrified but just felt unsafe. Due to a conference in town there were no rooms available. This hotel is in the 'Tenderloin' district which is known for drugs and such. After telling others that I was with there was a full effort to get me out of this hotel. I also shortened my stay and changed my flights so that I would not have to stay longer than necessary. I feel this hotel should be taken off any sites as a recommended place to stay. It just isn't safe. Even walking in the day light hours was nerve wracking. Please know it wasn't the homeless that made it unsafe, it was the people just hanging around.

I expect for $239 a night to have a good hotel with good services and it was the worst experience I ever had

The hotel is not a luxury or even a business accommodation however, it comes at a very good price and was appropriately clean and comfortable. The location is a bit dicey in the evening, but the price more than makes up for it.

So in this hotel you have two choices, burn up at night with the windows closed because of NO Air Conditioning so u dont have to listen to all traffic, sirens, street noise & random people yelling throughout the night. Option two have a slight breeze with the windows open only if your on a higher floor because there's alot of homeless & addicts in the area and have to listen to the noise all night long and only be able to sleep from about 2-5am. Worst hotel stay ever!

My first stay was better, with a much larger room and better breakfast for the same price but I enjoyed my stay once again and consider it one of the better values in San Francisco.

Late arrival on saturday night in SF Very expensive last minute reservation Long check in, parking lot was full , room really average Area seems unsafe First and last time in this hotel

Its called an Inn, but that is an euphemism for dorm. The place is unsafe, the staff of 3, tired and jaded. This place should be a motel.

Everything is okay not too much by far but just enough for the price to say it's okay.

The bathroom was not cleaned well as mold was in the tub area. Good people working there but too much nois from street and hot in room so could not open a window to cool room and sleep. At check out did not allow use of another card for splitting the bill. Doors slam and noisese neighbors up and down hall and rooms. Should have used other like cost hotels. If about $20 less maybe worth the bad things.

Did not enjoy my stay... It could've been a nice experience..

We had a decent stay for the price we paid. If you're not expecting much and are just looking for a place to crash, this hotel fits that standard.

Nice service and clean. Just on front bus stop and four blocks close to metro station.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to the nearby neighborhoods of downtown San Francisco. However, safety was a concern. It felt dangerous, there were both homeless and mentally unstable people on the streets.
