Great location with a parking option but the hotel needs a face lift. Rooms are a bit tired and need a good cleaning. But the convenient location is wonderful!
Only positive was that parking was included and location. The place is run down… bedding had a stain on it, no towels, no heat, mattress would sink in the middle when you lay down… Evening staff was nice but morning staff was not.. they said I couldn’t get a refund because I didn’t complain about the lack of heat when it was happening … but she acknowledged that someone forgot to turn on the boiler So no one had heat. . To top it off a couple in front of me was complaining about the same thing and they got a refund.
The Wharf Inn was definitely a "budget" hotel. This place has seen better days. The parking is free BUT the parking lot is a crackerjack box. Very limited space and very tight fits for the car. And even if you're staying at the hotel there's no guarantee for a spot when you go out for the day. Also, there are homeless people that hang out across the street and ask for money/food. The hotel is gated. You need a key to even go up the elevator. The hotel is conveniently located near a lot of the sites. IF you do book this place just understand what you're getting. And check in a bit early to get a parking spot.
Great location, very easy to get around. Reasonable price, especially considering that parking is free.
Great spot near Fisherman’s Wharf with free and secure parking. Clean and comfortable room with a small balcony and view of water. A few homeless individuals across the street but not a problem. Easy walk to Pier 39 and would definitely stay here again. A little street noise and some noise from floor above but not enough to bother you very much
Bay view … close to everything walking distance and free parking
Great location close to Pier 39 and 33. Walking disrance to shops and restaurants.
The cool lights behind the bed and the retro new mini fridge was cool. The walls were old and just painted over and I noticed there was no AC nor any paintings or decor in the room.
Wharf Inn was a great find. Conveniently located near Fisherman’s Wharf and a lot of great restaurants. Free Parking is first come first serve but we didn’t have any issues with it. We even came back at 10pm and still was able to find a spot. Hotel on the outside looks alittle shady but the rooms were nice. Microwave is in the breakfast room but you get a mini fridge. Overall it’s a great value considering parking is free which could run you $50 a night on the outside.
We reserved a balcony suite with a king bed. but when we arrived they had no balcony suites available so they gave us a double queen way in the back. I said I paid more for the balcony room and reserved a month ago but she said we booked through a 3rd party so we were the ones bumped out of a balcony room. The windows would not lock so we had to put all our valuables in the car when we went out. The only good thing about this hotel is the location and free parking. But they only have 30 spots so if you get one don't give it up. We were lucky and did get the last spot. You really can't beat the location but the hotel is old and shows. Personally I would not stay here again, The lack of being in a secure room was scary and the walls are thin and their is no peace and quit. You can hear the TV and people talking in the room next to you. And the fact that they treated us differently because we booked through Orbitz is just not right.
The main thing this property has going for it is location and free parking. However, in order to be sure you have a parking place you must get back to the hotel before checkin time each day or you may not get one. The bed was very and comfortable and the couch In the room looked new-ish, but other than that everything was really dirty. There was dust on all the lamp shades, the glass on the picture frames around the room was splashed with stuff making it obvious they had never been wiped down, the curtains were thick old and dusty. The windows so dirty you could not see out of them. In this age of COVID you expect an extra mile to be given for sanitizing and this was obviously not the case here. But, the location was very good, the bed was comfy and the staff was friendly.
The location of this hotel is great, but the room wasn't clean or even that functional. It was dark when we arrived. The one floor lamp didn't have a plug nearby. The other lamp was an old overhead fan / lamp combo. The carpet was dirty. The molding around the bathroom door was dirty. The bathroom door had a few years worth of chipped off paint at the bottom. The shower would turn cold suddenly and just stay cold for a bit before becoming hot again. Great location and friendly staff, but the facilities need some TLC.
Right in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf! Easy to get to everything.
Excellent location! Hotel is a bit dated but they kept it really clean and the bed is really comfortable. Overall great value would come back!
The hotel was in walking distance of so many things! The front office allowed me to park my car early before check in and I didn’t need to move it until we left the next morning since we could literally walk to everything we came for (the wharf). The room was clean and a good size! The halls of the hotel were being upgraded (that’s what the signs said) so it’s not super immaculate or fancy but we weren’t looking for that anyway! As long as our room was clean and pest free we were happy! I would definitely recommend and stay again. Overall great experience :)
While located in a good location for the Wharf the hotel was dated and unclean. Would not stay there again. "Sketchy" is how my kids described it. Very disappointing.
