Property needed renovations badly. I requested an accessible room and evidently Orbitz converted it to a regular room. When I got there they tried to put us in a 2nd floor room without an elevator. My husband is handicapped and cannot climb stairs. They had to get a 1st floor room cleaned and ready which took 15 min. After we got in, the bathroom floor was still dirty and the wall next to the toilet was soiled with what appeared to be feces. By the time we had gone thru all this I just wiped the wall down and stayed in the room. After staying there 4 nights there were workers in many of the 1st floor rooms of work being done for renovations. The back door was never locked at night so anyone could get in. The deadbolt on OUR door did not work so we had to rely on the secondary door stop at the top of the door. The parking lot/outside property was dirty and not kept up and clean. Lobby had boxes stacked all over. This is NOT the standard of the Ramada properties we have stayed at before. The desk clerk overcharged us for the refundable deposit which they said they would correct. It appeared they corrected it but after I got home and checked my credit card they had double charged us for our stay!!! As a result I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get it corrected. They need to do better!
