The Grand America Hotel

I arrived and was greeted by a friendly staff member of the GA. I was checked in and in my room within 5 mins. I encountered some engineering issues with my first room which resulted in me having to move into another room. I want to be honest here and say that, I don't think that room had been used in quite a while. When I grabbed the remote, there was quite a bit of dust on it and the table i was sitting next to. However when i called down and let them know if the issues i was having , the change was so quick and effortless, I had a bellman at my door within minutes. Turn down service was amazing. The food and drinks were perfect. This room was clean, had an amazing view of the courtyard, and a beautiful sitting area. Leaving this hotel is always really hard. I consider The Grand America my second home! i'm excited for my next stay-cation there!

A very nice hotel in a great location. The entire experience was excellent. Customer service is on point. The hotel property and grounds are well taken care of. Close to everything in downtown SLC. If it's your first time visiting SLC we would recommend dining at Whisky Street or Valters Osteria. Which are both very close to this hotel.

Very polite and friendly staff. Excellent room service, setting up a table and chairs for our food and poring our coffee after delivery. The staff always used sir or mam which is a formality not always heard. Our suite was very spacious and set up with every amenity we could ask for. The hotel is beautifully decorated and had nice touches like live music being played in the lobby. We were very pleased.

The room is very nice and comfortable. I went here as part of a getaway before Christmas and have stayed at this hotel before. Everything is excellent and you do get what you pay for.

My husband and I and our friends were very happy with our stay at The Grand America. We would definitely stay at this beautiful hotel again. Our ONLY complaints were the ice machines did not work on our floor and I personally would have preferred a softer mattress. (Our friends thought their mattress was very soft, in a good way!) The Christmas lights outside the hotel were so beautiful!

Amazing staff. When we checked in we were so happy with how we were greeted and how friendly the check in staff was. The room was incredible. The bed was a little soft but not terrible.

I literally can't say enough good things. The hotel is quite elegant when you walk in and they have cookies and lemon water for you upon check in. We stayed here on our wedding night and they upgraded us to the most amazing room with a view of Salt Lake City. Stay here!!

We were given a night for husbands birthday. The room was huge with a beautiful view. Decided to skip nightlife and just relax in our beautiful room.

The staff, concierge (Joan), and all of the hotel support staff were excellent... not one glitch! A PERFECT 4 night stay! We will be back!

I have stayed here annually for the past 4 years, and always enjoyed this hotel until recently. I am a business traveler frequently on the road, and tend to stay at higher end hotels (4-5 star). The Grand is the only 5 star hotel is SLC, and they have gotten a little too comfortable and greedy if you ask me. If you want to sit in their beautiful hot tub or take a swim, you are charged $10! The service all around was very slow at the Garden cafe and in the Gibson Lounge. Housekeeping did a great job overall, however the bed linens (pillow cases) smelled of urine. the decor needs an update. Very disappointed this year.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of our vacation at Yellowstone, before we flew home and enjoyed our stay there. It is a beautiful hotel with an old world feel, but modern amenities. Our room was clean, beautiful and the beds were comfortable. We ate breakfast across the street at the sister hotel because the restaurants were expensive at the Grand. The spa and restaurants were a little two pricey, but there are other options in town. It was a shame the spa was so expensive. We ended up not using it because of the cost and I saw employees who were waiting for customers in the nail area. There is a nail salon that charges half the price two blocks away. If the hotel spa were a little less expensive, we would have used them.

Nice central location. Friendly staff. Only issues were that the indoor swimming pool was too cold. And the furnishings were a bit dated. Overall, definitely a nice place to stay and probably the best in SLC.

Excellent service and quality. The only thing holding this hotel back from being at the level of the Four Seasons is very poor Wi-Fi. For business travelers this is a relatively low cost amenity that is an absolute requirement at the five star level of hotels.

As soon as i arrived everything was basically taken care of. My car was taken by a friendly valet. At the front desk, a very nice young woman helped find my reservation while a second valet came out of nowhere and said "let me help you with those bags!" In my room, everything was so perfectly in order. The room was clean, my shower was clean, no dust on any surfaces. I called down to the spa to make an appointment. It was quick and easy. The massage i received was HEAVEN! The spa is one if the most if not, the most beautiful spas I've been to EVER! After the Spa. I made why way down to dinner at the Garden Cafe where i was shown my seat and served the best Steak ever! Every single one of the staff members in that room was just dying to help in one way or another! I returned to my room and my room was turned down. Housekeeping took it one step further and organized all my things in the lavatory and placed my bag out of the way. All in all My stay, although short lived was just heaven! It is my new home away from home. Worth every penny! The staff is so eager to help and all have an awesome attitude about answering any questions you might have!

Salt Lake City has some limitations, like getting a meal downtown on a holiday, but this is the best full-service hotel I have found, with great food, staff, spa, and most amenities of a grand hotel anywhere in the world. Very nice pool and the best water pressure of any hotel I've ever stayed in.

Beautiful Chris decor. Holiday windows from around the world and a massive real gingerbread house. Free treats and stuffed animal for the kids. Amazing hotel!

Very nice hotel. In a great location downtown Salt lake. Very close to the trax station or within walking distance to many attractions. Staff was nice and welcoming. It is a very upscale hotel. We did order room service and I enjoyed my meal however my husband didn't care for his take on biscuits and gravy.

Our first stay at the Grand America and will be our first choice for all future visits to Salt Lake. Hotel is beautiful, the room was very nice, traditional decor, the staff was very friendly and helpful, room service was excellent, and the grounds are very relaxing.

Older built but very nice and roomy. Indoor and outdoor pool.

We love this hotel. Everything is awesome. Staffs are very nice and very helpful. Room is big and clean. If you book the rooms with garden view and in the middle, you will get a real balcony.
