The Grand America Hotel

Nice central location. Friendly staff. Only issues were that the indoor swimming pool was too cold. And the furnishings were a bit dated. Overall, definitely a nice place to stay and probably the best in SLC.

Excellent service and quality. The only thing holding this hotel back from being at the level of the Four Seasons is very poor Wi-Fi. For business travelers this is a relatively low cost amenity that is an absolute requirement at the five star level of hotels.

As soon as i arrived everything was basically taken care of. My car was taken by a friendly valet. At the front desk, a very nice young woman helped find my reservation while a second valet came out of nowhere and said "let me help you with those bags!" In my room, everything was so perfectly in order. The room was clean, my shower was clean, no dust on any surfaces. I called down to the spa to make an appointment. It was quick and easy. The massage i received was HEAVEN! The spa is one if the most if not, the most beautiful spas I've been to EVER! After the Spa. I made why way down to dinner at the Garden Cafe where i was shown my seat and served the best Steak ever! Every single one of the staff members in that room was just dying to help in one way or another! I returned to my room and my room was turned down. Housekeeping took it one step further and organized all my things in the lavatory and placed my bag out of the way. All in all My stay, although short lived was just heaven! It is my new home away from home. Worth every penny! The staff is so eager to help and all have an awesome attitude about answering any questions you might have!

Salt Lake City has some limitations, like getting a meal downtown on a holiday, but this is the best full-service hotel I have found, with great food, staff, spa, and most amenities of a grand hotel anywhere in the world. Very nice pool and the best water pressure of any hotel I've ever stayed in.

Beautiful Chris decor. Holiday windows from around the world and a massive real gingerbread house. Free treats and stuffed animal for the kids. Amazing hotel!

Very nice hotel. In a great location downtown Salt lake. Very close to the trax station or within walking distance to many attractions. Staff was nice and welcoming. It is a very upscale hotel. We did order room service and I enjoyed my meal however my husband didn't care for his take on biscuits and gravy.

Our first stay at the Grand America and will be our first choice for all future visits to Salt Lake. Hotel is beautiful, the room was very nice, traditional decor, the staff was very friendly and helpful, room service was excellent, and the grounds are very relaxing.

Older built but very nice and roomy. Indoor and outdoor pool.

We love this hotel. Everything is awesome. Staffs are very nice and very helpful. Room is big and clean. If you book the rooms with garden view and in the middle, you will get a real balcony.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location, great pool, I would highly recommend this hotel when your in Salt Lake City!! Trolley line right outside the door and many places to walk to.

This hotel delivered behind our expectations. Thank you for having us as your guests.!!!!!

Want to be treated like a millionaire for a fraction of the cost? Stay here and you'll experience just that. Expensive but oh so worth it. The spa is particularly nice, and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly, particularly for me being someone who has never stayed in something so ritzy before.

It was a great experience to stay at the center of SLC and enjoy a high standard hotel service at Grand America. Worth the price.

Our stay was better than expected. The hotel was very classy and the rooms very clean, elegant and traditional. Don't expect sleek and modern. It was on the expensive side but worth every penny. My wife and I had a great stay and would stay here again!

Very nice hotel. Spacious and elegant. Nice dining experience. However, valet is $25.

Pretty posh lobby. The rooms are incredibly dated. Good news though! They are upgrading all of the suites at Little America across the street. The new rooms there are a much better value, as they share the same central location (close to the TRAXX). Definately not worth the 3x price of Little America Across the street.

This hotel was a wonderful experience , snowing while we were there adds a lot of beauty to the mountains - look forward to returning soon

Stayed here the night we were married and visited again for an anniversary. Really a classy place.

I'm not usually one for luxury accommodations, but when we had four days to stay in Utah, and you can stay in the best hotel in town for such a reasonable price, you have to embrace the opportunity. The lobby, courtyard, grounds, restaurants, all perfectly maintained. Front desk and hotel staff were incredibly kind and professional at every turn. We spent the little extra to get an executive suite, which is basically a living room and a bedroom. Very well furnished, excellent bathroom. Definitely spend the ten bucks to visit the indoor pool. Sounds like a ripoff kind of, but this gives you access to the pool, the steam room, the 17 head megashower, and the lockerroom area. It's like enjoying the spa experience without getting a massage. Highly recommended. Buffet breakfast at the Garden Cafe is perfection. If I must find fault, they are very small faults. Overall I'd give our experience a 95/100. But the small issues would be: 1. Hotel room tv remote and bathroom scale both had dead batteries. 2. The hotel was probably at 35% occupancy when we were there, and we stayed on the 5th floor. Of 23. Doesn't make you feel that appreciated. 3. Hotel Bar, Gibson Girl Lounge, was okay, but not great. They have maybe ten signature cocktails, and we asked for a recommendation, and the server was unwilling to make one. I mean, come on. We are asking your opinion, not predict what we would like. I suppose it's a more casual experience there than the rest of the hotel.

My wife and I thoroughly our stay here. Beautiful, clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and excellent staff. The only concern was that the continental breakfast was only fair. Food was cold and expensive. We ate at the Garden Cafe the second morning and the food was better, but still pricey. All in all, we had an enjoyable. The Hotel is in an excellent location and city light rail is right outside to various parts of the city and airport.
