Hyatt Place Salt Lake City Airport

This hotel was very nicely located a short trip from the airport. It is very clean and modern and the room looked great. A few small changes would put this hotel above and beyond in the ratings: They were short staffed and two people were checking people in as well as making the food. This made things a little bit slow when it we got hungry and ordered some dinner. They did say they had a call off that night so this may not be an on-going problem. The rooms look great and was comfortable. However, for being a newer hotel we were surprised by how noisy it was. We were fortunate to be located by the conference rooms as we did not have many neighbors- because we heard clear as day anyone who walked down the hallway. Part of this was due to the fact that there is no fan on the air conditioner, so every time it turned off it was dead silent and then it would loudly turn back on. If you are a light sleeper you will not have the option of the fan noise to keep you asleep. The last thing was that as nice as the room looked, you went into this super nice bathroom and turned on the dimmest light I have ever had in a bathroom. We showered with the door open for the extra light. None of these things are major and this is certainly a nice hotel if you are flying in or out of salt lake city, however, with a few changes this hotel could have been a 5 star for sure!

Clean, decently sized rooms. Friendly staff and good amenities. Has gym, pool. Breakfast was pretty good. Great value for money.

I booked this hotel because in the past it has been a great place to stay close to the airport at an affordable price. My recent stay was frustrating. After arriving around 7pm I wanted to order dinner and searched the room for a menu but could not find one. I proceeded to use the in-room phone to call down to the front desk to ask if food was still available, but the phone did not work. I had to go down to the front desk to find out if food was available. Breakfast was not as good as I remembered. Water available for tea was warm not hot. Price for the room was much higher than we have paid in the past.

We picked a hotel that was close to the airport and had a 24 hour shuttle. The Hyatt Place was great. The room was big and very nice. The staff was so friendly, and everything was good.

Very solid hotel (one exit from the airport) and 15 minutes to downtown SLC. No fees for parking. Only negative is it is not near any restaurants/entertainment...which can be a good thing. Very clean, good beds, plenty of room. I stayed in a room with a king sized bed, small living room, desk/kitchenette. SLC doesn't have the entertainment options other cities do, so spend the extra money and get yourself a comfortable room - the Hyatt was a great choice. Breakfast buffet was what you'd expect and the team members at the Hyatt were all very friendly. No complaints and it met or exceeded my expectations.

Didn't have a luggage cart available but has a great plan for parking

Great hotel. We stayed to fly out to Chicago. The shuttle to the airport was great.

We were just in for the night, to take off very early for a long drive. The staff were super friendly and attentive, the room comfortable and clean, the lobby and cafe area very nice.

Nice overall. Ceiling cracked and drywall begining to fall off from old leak, but not a big deal

Cherie was very welcoming and accommodating at the front desk. She made the stay easy and we then signed on for another night a week later.

I came from California Visiting Salt Lake City on Business The first time EVER i have been disappointed with Hyatt place ... the floor wasn't vacuumed well & there was pee stains on the bottom of the toilet seat . the staff informed me that they had someone training ... but you call someone to the room to clean it no problem !!! My problem with this hotel ( hyatt place SLC airport ) is one staff member was very judgmental of my appearance & also talked about the way i dressed and looked with another staff member behind the check-in desk while i was waiting for my taxi !!!!! i dont think my appearance or the way i dressed had anything to do with my stay . the other staff member were super sweet & had so much hospitality . its a shame that one staff member had to ruin a review with her judgmental opinion that wasn't needed or asked for . I still love the hyatt place and it will forever be my favorite hotel chain

our last night of a multi-city trip, very clean, comfortable and made catching an early morning trip easy!

Beds were a little stiff my back was aching in the morning after.

I flew to Salt Lake to pick up a car, so I needed a place close to the airport that was safe, clean, and comfortable. This hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and it was very comfortable! I would definitely stay here again.

Great place. Very friendly staff and great value for money.

Weather caused me to look at airport hotels, as a shuttle service would have cost over twice the hotel cost. I was pleasantly surprised at how new, well-kept, and well-staffed the Hyatt Place was! The staff was very courteous-even on Christmas night, late. The location is great (about 1/4 mile drive to the departure gates of SLC), and the hotel was extremely clean and modern, with all the comforts you hope for, but so rarely find in this price range.

I stayed here overnight before heading to Snow Bird. I was nice. Nothing special...

clean, modern, comfortable, and safe... easy and fast access to airport but an easy trip downtown, too.

Just a one night stay after visit elsewhere in the state before flying home. This hotel was amazing! The rooms were beautiful and super comfortable. The free breakfast was fantastic! The staff was courteous and very helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the luxury of this hotel. The only downside to it was the location. It is 5 min from SLC airport which is great, but there wasn't much nearby in the way of restaurants or entertainment. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was quite noisy... traffic noise and internal hotel activity noise. It's not the most noisy ever, but a factor that I would consider when making another reservation in SLC. Room was nice, check-in, check-out, fine. Cleanliness good. We didn't really utilize any of the amenities. Breakfast was better than average.
