Best time to visit
Summer

Although Salt Lake City has something to offer during any season, the summer is one of the best times for festivals. The Twilight Music Festival, featuring cheap concerts within the downtown park, occurs every Thursday during July and August. During the mornings and afternoons, this same park hosts a farmers market during the mornings and early afternoons.

Aside from the many festivals, the summer is also the perfect time for exploring the many hiking trails through canyons and around the lakes surrounding Salt Lake City. All of these hikes are small enough to take a break from business for a day filled with nature and exploration.
