Staff was nice, the room was “tired”, the whole place was in need of an update. Pool was not working. It was quiet. I was surprised about all the previous reviews saying the breakfast was so good. It was ok. For the money and location for us it was fine. Will we stay there again (we have family in SLC) ? No.

Arrived late. No one at the desk. Instead there was a sign telling me there was no one at the desk. Five minutes no acknowledgement, no signs of life. Woman comes in dressed in black leggings. Perhaps another customer come to see the sign. Nope. The worker who did not identify herself or immediately greet me. The worker, who was not wearing anything to suggest she was a hotel employee, called into the back asking for another staff, who was there, apparently hiding, all along. She came out. Huge wrinkled and stained shirt. Throughout the check-in she talked to the other employee a about the audit books, or something, while I was standing there in front of her. Check in finally complete I was hit with the news that since I had dogs with me there would be an additional charge of $100 per dog for the stay. Policy not these worker's fault but it did catch me off guard. The first employee reduced the charge to $50 per dog. OK. Then, however, the front desk failed to program my door key for the entire stay. I came to know of this, when upon returning very late and very exhausted, I found I could not get into my room. Front desk visit needed but should have not been needed. Room was clean but there wasn't any bedding for the pull out sofa. Breakfast is very mediocre. Very mid. If you are reading this, I'd recommend you stay someplace else.
