Despite having extremely friendly and accommodating staff, our stay was not pleasant. The cleanliness of our room was very poor, there was mildew in the shower, floor was gritty and not swept. There was a patched hole in the bathroom still covered in spackle, white spackle popped out against the bright blue paint. The toilet ran constantly, making a lot noise and hard to sleep. The hotel smelled musty and old. We will not stay here again.

The hotel actually having Turkey sausage in their complimentary breakfast was a hit for me. As a person who doesn’t eat red meat nor pork, I thought that was very thoughtful and feel other hotels should adopt that. Everyone doesn’t eat pork and that’s all hotels offer when it comes to complimentary breakfasts. My only critique is I’m use to seeing safes in my room when I travel but y’all did offset that by actually having a microwave in a regular room that didn’t require having a suite to have. Good stay.

Our flight from American Airlines was canceled and I’m trying to get a credit. With COVID-19 Being high in Richmond and our flight being canceled , you would think they would give a refund as a good business.

Room was lovey, appreciate floors instead of carpet and updated interiors. Was a bit difficult to find, the signage/directions should be improved. Overall, solid place.

When we arrived late night after long car travel, the room provided to us stank of smoke. We went back to the check-in person (Robert) who told us there was nothing he could do. We asked for another room and he said he could not change our room. Our option was to stay in the room or he would credit us and we could find another hotel. He was very rude and provided the worst customer experience I have encountered. We have three young kids and he had no concern how tired they were. We called two neighboring hotels and they were horrified at our treatment but were unfortunately sold out. As we had no choice I asked Robert for his name and told him I would be talking to corporate in the morning. Magically then he found us a different room which was similar to what we booked. I really didn’t get the point of the whole exchange as it seems he could have assigned us the room in the beginning.

The property was very clean i did like that. I didn't like the service with the front desk i found a price online with orbitz and the young lady said she didn't see it on her system and wouldn't honor that price even after i showed it to her on my phone.

Friendly staff who go above and beyond. Clean rooms and convenient location.

Bathtub and bathroom were dirty. They'd clearly just "remodeled" but put fake hard wood right over the old carpet floor. All I could think of was the mold that could be growing under it. Overall, the rest of the room appeared clean but just with cheap, clinical looking furniture. It is ok for a one night stay if you don't plan to bathe

Nice room, friendly and helpful staff. Undergoing renovation, so some noise until 6 pm or so, only one elevator.

Hotel was decent. Bed was comfortable. Room was decently cleaned. Breakfast was enjoyable and had a lot of variety. Good choice for the cost.

The front desk attendant, Edward, was very pleasant and helpful.

Very convenient to interstates and downtown Richmond, friendly, professional staff who always greet you with a smile. There is also a restaurant right across the parking lot so don’t even need to drive.

Great customer service. Location was good. Rooms clean and met our expectations. Breakfast was very good, something for everybody.

I am sorry your flight was cancelled. I do not show any record of you having any reservations with this hotel. When making reservations there are plenty of options for the rates- I am assuming you may have selected a non cancellable, non refundable reservation with whatever hotel you may have selected. Thank you for staying. I completely understand the issues you felt you encountered in the first room you were given. I do see you failed to convey that the staff did allow you the options of the room move or check out and issue the refund. I am also sorry that we were not going to give you 2 rooms for the price of 1 (your screaming demand to the desk clerk). When you realized that was not going to happen you made the threat to call corporate. After you called the other hotels in front of staff and found out they were sold out- You were again offered the same to move rooms or checkout with refund to find alternate accommodations. At that time, you agreed to the new room. Nothing was magically found as you state in your review. While we do work very hard in accommodating our guests- we are human and being as such treating the staff as you did by yelling and screaming at them is not something they deserve. I do hope you had safe travels on the remainder of your travels- BWE Management
