We stayed here on a recent trip to Boca Raton with our 2 year old grandson. I knew it would not be fancy, but as a Marriott property, I expected a well maintained place. Unfortunately, that was not the case. This is a tired property in bad need of some TLC. The room was reasonably well laid out (we had a 2 bedroom suite) and met our needs well. The tub had chips and cracks and the room smelled old and tired. I will say the people were very nice, the pool was ok and the included breakfast was plentiful and good. We considered moving to a different property but couldn’t find a good alternative. If you pick this place, don’t expect much....

I travel A LOT for work. This was the only approved hotel offered by my company. I am not particularly fond of the Marriott brand in general, but that’s just me. This hotel had very nice staff and decent coffee up front. However, on one night, the power in the entire hotel went out. Tried to call the front desk... and the phones were out. Not too good from an emergency preparedness point if you can’t call 911 when the power goes out. The room was decent, but dated. The bed was comfortable (not too hard or soft). The one thing that really turned me off about the hotel were the doors slammed shut when going into the rooms. Every time someone entered their room, you would hear it slam. That kept waking me up during the night, so I wasn’t happy. For that reason, I won’t be staying again unless required by my company.

Rooms are kept impeccably clean and wonderful staff at this hotel. From a friendly welcome and friendly smiles from the cleaning staff, we felt like we were staying with family. Everyday, our room was spotless so you could tell a clean room was priority number one. Would highly recommend and will surely stay there again.

I stayed here with 3 friends during Capital One Orange Bowl weekend Dec. 2016. We wanted to stay somewhat close to Miami and close to the highway. It's a bit hidden off the road, but the grounds were pretty and lush. There's nothing super close to eat, but it's on a main road, so you can drive and find anything you need for food or shopping. The grounds were well lit and the area felt very safe. An added bonus was a paved walking/running/biking trail along the river right next to the hotel. A great safe place for exercise. The lobby is smaller, but clean and check-in was quick. We had a one room suite with a full kitchen. With the 4 of us, two were in the king bed, one on the sofa bed and one on a full sized blow up mattress. That said, there was enough floor room to accommodate all of that! The room was completely spotless with loads of amenities, especially the kitchen. Kitchen area was well stocked with everything we needed and a full fridge. There was enough room for 4 of us, but it would've been nice to have a few more cubbie holes, drawers or closet space for stuff. The TV was in a weird spot, diagonally to the bed, but it swiveled, so everyone could see. My friend said the sofa bed was fairly comfy and we had enough blankets and pillows for everyone. The bathroom was very clean and average sized with decent amenities. There was always hot water in the shower. The hotel was pretty quiet despite a lot of kids being there since it was close to New Year's Eve. Only small issue was housekeeping. They didn't always come in a timely manner and we had to keep calling. Once they did, the room was restocked with towels and kept clean, but it was an inconvenience to call multiple times. The only odd thing was breakfast. It was included, but you had to go to the hotel across the parking lot to get there. The weather was fine each morning for us, but this might be a pain if the weather is bad. Once you got to breakfast, it was fantastic!! Large breakfast area with upgraded choices. Eggs, meats, pastries, waffles, juices, fruits, lots of variety and kept stocked and fresh. Overall a VERY pleasant stay and would't hesitate to come back.

So many problems with this hotel. There were little bugs all over my room when I checked in, and the manager said she was going to call Orkin and get back to me. Well, she called Orkin but didn't get back to me, so I was avoiding the room unnecessarily because I didn't want to see the bugs until they were gone. I wish TripAdvisor would let me upload videos because the noise in the hallway from EMPLOYEES of the hotel was shocking. These were men working on the upgrade of the hotel playing loud music and cursing in the hallway and holding open containers of beer (!) and when I complained to the manager, she said the worked there and she wasn't going to tell them to do anything different. And then there's the key issue. Again, I wish I could show you the video. The electronic keys only work 25 percent of the time. One of the videos I took shows me having to use the key at the hallway four times before I could get in and then at my room seven times before I could get in. And sometimes they don't work at all and you have to go to the front desk to get a new one. Which brings me to the only nice thing about his hotel, and his name is Ed. He works at the front desk and he's so helpful and thoughtful and friendly and really took care of me and my Mom when we were there despite all the other problems. So the two of us checked out early and switched to the hotel next door (Ed waived the change fee). The SpringHill Suites, owned by the same company, was marginally better, although there was one moment that made me feel very uncomfortable. There was an incident in which two housekeepers were pushing a cart in the hallway and I heard one of them say to the other "I told you he was a faggot." Now, I'm 90 percent sure she wasn't talking about me (although I am gay) but I shouldn't have to listen to that at the hotel. I did report it to the manager and he was very apologetic and said he'd look into it.

We checked in for a two-night stay while attending a nearby conference. Property is very clean, front desk is friendly and helpful. Room spotless and well appointed, especially for those who might be plugging in for several nights. Our studio room 313 has a very functional work station (best I can ever remember in any hotel at any price point), small sofa, well-appointed kitchenette with apartment size stove and dishwasher. Queen bed is very comfortable. If you are looking for a value-priced property that delivers more than expected, look no further -- book it!

Staff extremely helpful. Good location. Very clean. Stayed in two bedroom suite, quite spacious. Kitchen area great if one is staying for a period of time. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonable place to stay.

For an cost effective price, I had a very positive experience at the simple and clean hotel. The staff were very hospitable and the breakfast was amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean. Due to the reasonable prices, the hotel attracts all different kinds of people. Our next-door neighbor was blasting music at 1 AM and smoking some interesting smelling things. We called security and they took care of it right away. Although not the prettiest setting right off the highway, the pool has a really nice fountain and you do feel like you are in a tropical place. Great location, close to the beach and close to all the highways. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here again. Because of our jobs my wife and I can't help but call this our home-away from home. The folks that work there are wonderful. Florence, Ed, Julie, Ann, Joshua, Nancy...Luis, Jose...and please for give us if we missed anyone. It is just wonderful and they do everything they can for us extended stayers. Our dogs love it and it makes our lives easy while there. They have had a recent reno, so things are in good shape there. Hats off to you guys at TownPlace-Boca!

We really enjoyed this hotel. We had a two bedroom suite and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us. Check in was easy and Christopher was great! Problem is: They advertise free breakfast, but when you get there, they tell you you have to go next door to eat it! Tropical Storm Alberto is dumping rain, and we have to walk next door to another hotel? Not acceptable! What's worse, is by dumping two hotels worth of guests into one breakfast bar, there were big lines, no place to sit, and grouchy people due to the inconvenience. Not cool, folks.
